Can someone please write down a list of all viable attackers for bossing that are accepted in bossing parties (Night Lord, Bowmaster, etc)? And obviously the worst class at bossing is bishop. Im currently making a f/p mage to fund a class, and am still trying to find a good class that is comfortable with me. Edit: so what I meant by bishops being the worst bossers is that they are no good at actually hitting the boss. I know they are great at supporting the attackers and buyers.
What? Are you looking for class with high damage and nothing else or high potential bossing capability that makes you a valuable party member? Don't mix up the two. Edit : I'll just answer the later. This is assuming public runs which they always try to break the world record as if the world ends tomorrow. Overall - NL - Any SE Zak - DK / Hero for arms, A/M to some extents but nobody came out to prove it - NL / Corsair - Any SE - Shad, especially if they use ME - Others can be used as mule safely or is less desired HT - Active Bishop - NL - Any SE - DK / Hero for multipart and/or clearing waves - Shad, Bucc, and Paladin optional, depends on their funding. There are NL-less runs with ~50 minutes clear time. Shaolin - DK / Hero - Corsair / NL - Any SE if NL (Mule if possible) - Mules Krex - Corsair / NL - Corsair / NL - Shad if they use ME - Any attacker class really it's a punching bag you can watch netflix while killing it - Any SE (Mule if possible) - Mules I've friends and a guild - Any class, assuming you don't have assholes as your friends / guildmates
I do think he wants to be BM.. well coz can needed and can deal good damage. with average funding.. ofc
Essential (pretty much always wanted): Night Lord Bowmaster Marksman Circumstantial/party skills (their party skills aren't often needed by the essentials, but are beneficial under certain circumstances or their party skills bring the other classes more up to par with the essentials-such as SI): Buccaneer Dark Knight Paladin Shadower Optional (no party skills but can still bring sufficient DPS to the table): Corsair Hero Non-attacker but still accepted into and essential for most boss parties: Bishop No bueno: FP Mage IL mage Beginner
From the last update regarding class changes, I'd say all attackers are viable for bossing now. Even the ones that were considered bottom tier like buccaneers, shadowers, and paladins. Bosses were given elemental weaknesses, shadowers and buccaneers received % damage buffs to their core skills. Of course, some classes still out-damage others in terms of dps (NL and corsair). But in terms of overall utility, all the attackers have a role they can fill in now regarding bossing. The only attacker classes that are sort of neglected now are marksmen and dark knights, which is mainly because of their status as being inferior bowmasters and heros. But that doesn't make them bad at all and they are very much still viable attackers for bossing parties and can take the same spots. In the end, its about you choosing what you want to play. If we're talking about strictly attacker classes, they are all viable for bossing in some form.
This is another question you would like to put into your mind. How much time and effort are you willing to invest into leeching/grinding mesos to farm up this attacker class? Obviously if you arn’t willing to spend too much time grinding APR and entry level gears Dk/Hero/Bucc are great options. If you are pretty down to earth and willing to aim real far. NL is definately the best choice. Shadower, Paladin, Sairs are unorthodox options, many amazing players made them shine really hard. Do you want to be unique? Other classes like BM/MM are also good choices, but unless your super interested in them. Its pretty pricy and they doesn’t shine as much as an attacker. But super strong as a more supportive role. The opportunity for you to white a NL its rare. (You will always always be wanted tho) Well Bishops. I’d like to voice out for this class at least abit on every class recommendation i comment on so bear with me If you might enjoy Playing the more supportive position. I would actually recommend this class, to wash it and make several mules to accompany it to make it shine in major bosses such as HT. Removing defense buff, casting holy shield and Clearing boss spawns is to a certain extend a very interesting bonus for the party. And once your hitting 5-6 target. Your dps aint half bad! Especially in HT you’d probably never climb the rope improving your dps that much.. unless your giving out HS-es. All and all everyone’s suggestions are similar, do invest sone time into reading several class guides and choose the one that you can make use of most effectively with your resources/time available
Then explain to me why people always R bishop or HS mules to boss runs Edit: Ok let's back to the main point. I think except Arch Mage, all other jobs can join boss run. If you are an attacker, people will care more about your Attack range than the class. If you have any skills that could contribute to the party (like SE of BM/MM, Crash of Paladin, SI of Buccaneer, Smokescreen of Shadower), it would be a plus. For me, my Bowmaster is easily accepted to join a boss run even though I only have average attack range, thanks to SE
If you want to make a list of over 1000 players with their classes & alts, go right ahead. Also to answer your question, probably because their friend's can't make it, or they don't feel like opening another client. Edit: Lmao totally misread this. I thought you were asking if someone could make a viable list of every player who can boss... I was extremely confused as to why you were asking that lol
