I wanted to create similar thread to an existing one on this form, but change it up a bit to increase the amount of content on it and its overall life expectancy.

Title: The Shadow of the Wind

    Author:
    Carlos Ruiz Zafón

    Rating:
    ★★★★★

    Brief Synopsis
: The setting is after the 2nd world war in Barcelona. Daniel is 11 years old when his father takes him The Cemetery of Forgotten Books to pick a book to keep. That is where Daniel picks up Shadow of the Wind by Julian Carax. Really enjoying the novel, Daniel sets out to find more Novels by Julian Carax. This journey leads him to the discovery that someone is destroying all of julians work and sets of a spiral of events to reveal the truth of Julian Carax.

    Notes:
This is my favorite novel that I have read so far. I dont have many bad things to say about it other than it starts of a little slow. Anyone who enjoys a dark setting where things do not always end happily ever after will enjoy this book. There is a complex story here with many memorable unique charcters. One thing that really stood out for me is this is not just a book, but a book within a book.
