Wash as much as you want if you have the initiative to master the class. Once you master the dismounting technique, higher HP doesn't hinder anything.
I made the mistake of not HP washing earlier and I'm regretting every bit of it. There can never be too much HP! I'd aim for 12K-18K and, depending on your budget and dedication to this class, 30K. Go big or go home, right
You can always set a high goal, mp wash for it, reset your base int and then just hp wash on the run. That way you can wash what you can afford over time, less stress For standard you need 17,450 HP (you can get 1300 extra from equips and the hp quest) to get a total of 18,750. 18,750 HP gets you to 30k when using HB.
