Here's my reasoning. Weapon scrolls have potential to give +5 atk. So nobody in their right mind will chaos scroll a weapon. Having the range increased will give incentive to start scrolling weapons with chaos scrolls. In turn, will give more interesting weapon stats and encourage players to take chances on weapons other than the normal 10%/30% scrolls available. It will also increase the damage cap to players that can only be accomplished by taking chances.
Well, I thought it would be an interesting change. But it's just my opinion. Items are pretty much the only randomness in MapleRoyals (and MapleStory). Creating a bit more variety of randomness in items would change how the game is played. For example, those "godly items" brought increased variability for the good. I also thought maybe each "godly item" could have plus or minus 1 scroll slots.
No need to chaos scroll a weapon. Just use the +5 atk scrolls. Chaos scrolls are primarily used on pink capes and face stompers. These already allow for taking chances, as the probability of all 5 scrolls giving 5 atk is extremely low (to the point that most people with that kind of gear are probably checked by the staff to ensure it was even legit), and near impossible to get on perfect clean gear, due to how rare the perfect clean gear is to begin with. In addition, it's making it easier, because while there are more negative outcomes, you can't ignore the fact that the probability of getting 5 or more has gone up, i.e. 1/11 -> 3/15. In other words, it'd go from less than 10%, all the way up to 20%, which is quite substantial. Changing it now would also infuriate those who have already perfected a weapon using white scrolls and 10% scrolls (or are in the process of doing so), as they might have instead chosen to invest in chaos scrolling instead of ~70 white scrolls.
