Hey maplers, how yall doing? For some time I've been thinking on making a Shadower cause i remember back in the day having lots of fun with then, but im not sure if they are a viable class right now on this server, and bi "viable" i mean strong, good to level, skills working, and most of all, STILL FUN AS HECK. I mean, I want to have fun but I also don't want to fell burned out just to go to the next god'damn level. If a Shadower see this post please give me some light on the expect. Thanks!
Shads are fun unless you like memes, in which you end up making a meme mage. Shads can take a bit of money to advance in damage late game due to lack of strong shadower gear around but otherwise it's fine. Plus ass 30 has dropped in cost!

If I read that post correctly, Shadowers are comparable to NL's in DPS? Sorry not sure what he/she means when they say whited
Whiting is dealing most damage to the boss. Shads are in a very competitive spot on the dps list and are very easy to wash cause you don’t need insane HP thanks to Meso Guard. DPS wise if they manage to get enough stats from equips to wear the khanjar/dagger without having to sacrifice LUK they’re really strong. Prob 5th-6th.
Let's just address the elephant in the room. Do you really want to play a class which requires 14 slots to perfect their weapon attack gear? (in terms of maximum potential). All that to be 5th-6th place in damage potential? ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ Sure the class is cool and riddled with (somewhat) decent utility, but at such a hefty cost.. I think many people fail to talk about one aspect of a class, it's availability. With that in mind, if all you want to be is a decent mid to high tier shad, then yes, a shadower should be fine.
That depends If you just aim to have fun and not make a particularly strong char with perfect items then sure, shadower is pretty good now. If you aim to be a top player though with high range and stuff then it's another matter though... Both khanjar and Kanzir are rare and I see pretty much nobody selling a perfect/close to perfect one right now which means you'd probably need to scroll it yourself. The price to ws both could be over 60b... You could make a washed NL with a perfect craven and around 50 atk gear at that price and already start bossing.
I'd disagree on that part. Shadowers are fun overall AND have good damage compared to other melee classes. In fact my lvl 193 Shadower outdps'd a lvl 194 above me DrK with perfect Sky Ski's and 4wa more in attack equipment while i was using a 130 wa Dagger which costs no more than 3b plus the khanjar which is about 1.2-1.3b (32wa) compared to a 139 sky ski which costs like 25b. [we both were using Apple,SE30, MW20 - no SI] so basically you be on par to most melee classes while having early/mid game equipment AND surpass them later by having the option of finishing those 2 items (weapon & shield).
