Decided I may as well just post this rambly rant so that 1) I don't ghost everybody. 2) Maybe others who have similar issues will see sense. Well today I decided it was time to uninstall and go on another hiatus. This game can be fun, but it really is a bit of a rat race to the top, with both damage and HP washing! Yesterday I was outed for having 9k HP when I got 1/1'ed (no hard feelings towards who said it at all, dw about that ). Which is funny, really, cause in GMS, that would be high HP for a Sair! But of course here, with the endless NX injection from voting, it's really not. I think also think the community is becoming more cliquey over the years and it's easy to feel a bit left out at times, which is not a nice feeling. The worst was me being completely embarrassed because I was literally crying about something stupid that happened ingame and then my hubby getting home and seeing me crying over a game. He was great about it of course, like he always is about everything. That, combined with me going on this morning to do "some quick APQ's" and then hours later seeing the "You have played for 5 hours" or whatever it is it says. I was like holy hell, where did 5 hours just go???!!!!! I've played bugger all Pokemon Go lately, which I played a lot before I played this (if anybody here plays and wants a friend in Aussie on it, please do PM me for my friend code, I won't post it here though), and honestly, I'd rather be addicted to Pokemon Go rather than Maplestory. Pokemon Go is a relatively healthy game to be addicted to, because it has a relatively low level cap and a relatively low eliteness (except for the true addicts, who spend thousands on it, but most of the community actually doesn't interact with them), and of course it involves walking/ running around and getting fresh air! I have also recently scored an awesome rl opportunity that I need to make the most of. And I also need to free up more time to keep our living environment looking amazing for my very hard working hubby who deserves it! Thanks Jennaside for making my last day amazing. If/ when I return, we'll have to try and do lots of player-ran events. You (and your friends) are so much fun to hang out with cause we take nothing seriously. I would have loved to have stayed for more of it, and you would have loved me to as well, but I also know you'd one of thee very first to agree that one has to put their mental health first and not continue to be involved in something that doesn't make them feel amazing and feels like an unhealthy addiction rather than a relaxing pastime. I recommend if anybody else has the same problem, they uninstall too. Remember, it's just a game. It's not worth your sanity or mental health, especially if, like me you have ADHD or some other related thing that makes it tough for you to force yourself to not become completely consumed in games or to not take it too fucking seriously. I'm sure those I interact with in game have seen the crazy slide in my sanity, going from being reasonably easy going and chill and not really giving a shit to getting frustrated about every apple stolen, stingy attacker that doesn't know how to use an apple, bishop who forgets where their hs button is, etc. Nuts eh? Better to walk away. This might be a permanent hiatus. Every time I come back from hiatus, I end up getting too absorbed again and then ending up having to tear myself away from it again. It's a bit ridiculous, although I'm thankful there's at least something in me that can recognise the problem and walk away. Peace all! <3 Heidi PS, while it's frustrating that there aren't enough GM's, the few that are here and active are amazing, and I'm sure many servers could only dream of having such amazing professional volunteers. Look after them and appreciate them! Don't burn them out. And to the GM's directly, I'm sorry. I took the botters shit too seriously. Keep being awesome!
Great post. I miss you already!! I think we come back to Royals for comfort and an escape from the monotony of adult life. You'll run into unsavory players who don't align with your nostalgia, but eventually you'll find the people who are seeking the same thing you are. I will continue to create mini events, remake guilds, get a billion mesos and then waste it on summoning sacks and gifting newbies some valuable items. I love knowing that I was part of the most spammed thread with a guild members I probably will never speak to again. I have you on discord and we will definitely have more jump quest events and sacking afkers .

Yeah I love that one minute we're sacking people, and then the next a newb is begging for stuff and you call him out for begging, but then give him an ilbi, lol. Perhaps in a few months once I've had time to refocus on what's most important and to breath (and assuming you're not too busy with your own rl stuff!) we'll have to do more of that stuff. I was in a guild in GMS that did weekly guild events. Very popular, and it's amazing what you can do as a player to run cool events. I think definitely the pet park JQ concept, where we release monster sacks everywhere and then challenge people to get to the top is a great one. Orbis tower races with 100/100 speed/jump are great too, but they are challenging to enforce the rules of.
