Clarifications regarding Multiple Pets

Hi I am new to multiple pets and I wanted some clarifications from someone who is knowledgable on this topic. I read multiple threads and some topics seemed to have contradicting opinions. It would be a huge help to a noob like I am.

1) Pet Equipment Speed, Jump

I am understanding that the pet's equipment speed and jump stats will only increase your character's stats. But upon clearing Kenta's Advice, the pets will follow the character closely so the equipment stats are eventually increasing the pets' speed as well. Is this a correct statement?

Also, do the pets' equipment stats stack? For example, if I have two pets that have +10 speed equipment each, do I get +10 speed (from the leader), or +20 speed?

2) Kenta's Advice

I read on another thread that upon clearing Kenta's Advice quest your first time, all pets would be following close to your character. However, it seems that my leader pet (68 closeness, speed +8 equipment) follows me closely while my second pet (closeness 15, no speed equipment) drags behind. Am I missing something? Not sure why this is happening.

3) Item Ignore Pendant

I am understanding that you only need 1 Item Ignore Pendant for the leader as multiple pendants on different pets don't work. Is this correct?

Yes

They stack. You'll get +20 speed.

First, unequip all the pets. Equip only the 2nd pet then talk to Kenta again. You will get the same [Kenta's advice] quest but since you've completed it already, it'll automatically make your current main/leader pet's speed faster.

I tested it. You only need 1 ignore pendant and it will work for all 3 pets.

Just adding some more information.

1) They also get the snowshoe effect when you're wearing a pair.

3) However you can extend your ignored list with 3 ignore pendants.

 

That's actually neat !!! I always thought the ignore list was too small.

 

I don't think this works. I have yellow snowshoe equipped and my pets still slide in elnath and hunting area for coolie zombies.

 

It works on my end. You sure all of them have properly cleared the quest?

No, but once you've completed Kenta advice your pet will have the snowshoes effect if you're equipping snowshoes.

 

That is weird. My pets follow me well after Kenta's Advice. Maybe I need to talk to Kenta once more after I equip the sn0wshoe.

 

So uhh...what happens is
1) You completed the Kenta advice and made sure that the pet does have the same speed as you. Easiest to tell by going on a mount and walk around.
2) When you equip the snowshoes, your pet doesn't have snowshoe effect after equipping and unequipping your snowshoes and compare the difference?

You yourself have to wear snowshoes for the pet to have the snowshoe effect. It is not like when you completed the Kenta advice with snowshoe and the pet will always have the snowshoe effect even if you don't wear a pair yourself.

 

I don't know what was wrong but my pets don't slide anymore after i talked to Kenta again. Thanks!
