Calculator says 1-hit, but in game is 2-hit. Anyone know why?

I tried searching for an online damage calculator, but every link was broken or the Google spreadsheet was deleted.
So, I made my own in Excel. As far as I can tell, it calculates correctly (my in-game INT, Magic, etc. all matches my calculations, even with buffs)

My problem is, according to my calculator, I should be able to 1-hit kill Ulu1 map, but when I try in-game, I still must 2-hit quite a lot.
(I even calculated the monster magic defense to see if that was the missing factor... it wasn't.)
(pretty sure I used the correct formulas)

Can anyone tell me what I'm missing?

Here is a screenshot of my calculator, if it helps:

The first line at the bottom is the magic damage formula (minimum)
The second line at the bottom is the magic defense formula (minimum)
Veetron HP @ 42,000, Magic Defense @ 500 were taken from HiddenStreet BBB

Most likely the formula is wrong, it should be (magic^2/1000+magic)(0.9*mastery) and not the way you wrote it.
The way you wrote it only the magic stat will be multiplied by mastery and not the magic^2/1000 (cause of math laws of multiplying before adding lol) part, making your actual min damage to be a lot higher. If you multiplied both you'd get a min damage of around 37k

Nah it actually had the thing you wrote in the ayumilove formula website and you copied it from there, I guess she made a math mistake when she posted it.
Min damage is always multiplied by 0.9*mastery for every class in the game so it doesn't make sense to only multiply a part of the damage and not all of it

Makes sense when you say it out loud. I just blindly copied the formula as-is. Appreciate the help! It seems to be working perfectly now.

So after dinner, and a little more testing. it turns out that the original formula was indeed correct. My mistake was that I set 'Mastery' to 1, instead of 0.6. That seems to correct my issues and now the calculator is working as expected.

    Thanks anyway for your assistance!
