Hello, i'm trying up install the latest update on my old PC, the previous client worked without problems but for this one as soon i double click the setup it prompts the "out of memory" error. Windows XP - 1 GB Ram. There's another thread where others mentioned closing programs, but i have nothing running not even an AV as i keep this to play Royals and nothing else and i keep getting that error.
Check your processes through your task manager to see your ram usage %. You could possibly running out of memory, as the error suggests. I also had that error a few times with this new update, even though I've got 16gigs of ram. I had to do a clean install of windows to fix the issue.
Hello, thank you for your response. I tried to increase my virtual memory following couple guides around, so far nothing as helped. I've done as you suggested, but the setup shows on the task manager and it's not even taking many resources, nothing else is. I get the error straight upon clicking the setup. I thought my installer could've corrupted but it's not.
if this install is on a VM try doing a game install on your PC and then copying the installed game to your VM instead
This newb pc will struggle with VM but i found an alternate solution, used my other computer; compressed the client on rar then extracted the files and voila, everything works properly now. May i suggest to upload a rar for future updates together with the setups? its additional work, but will for sure helps a minority of users like me in the future as well, though a single link would do.
