I've been wondering about this Deputy Star. Its lovely and all, but what purpose does it serve? I don't understand its value what so ever.

 

I can understand where you are coming from and why its value may seem "ridiculous" as you said in my store permit, however Deputy Stars are the best tradeable pendants you can get.

• It requires no prequest/party quest to acquire and has a low level requirement at level 50 (unlike Horntail Pendant at level 120 and Mark of Naricain at level 140) making it very useful for HP/MP washing with its 10 INT.
• All of its stats are higher than you would find on a clean Deputy Star (except for weapon and magic defense) at 14/8/10/14 vs 5/5/5/5. This makes it useful for all jobs!
• Note that it is very difficult to successfully chaos an item at 60% and receive a positive return on more than one stat number. Lesser chaos'd Deputy Stars have sold for ~4b which is why I believe a s / b of 4.5b is reasonable!

 

Thanks for answering the question. I wasn't taking a shot, I just honestly didn't understand how 5 INT is worth 4b. But I also don't have 800b+ to consider a purchase like this. For the pros you listed, I'd say sure, it has the value of a HTP to anyone who doesn't have enormous wealth, but to the 1% on this server, maybe they'd consider it

No worries at all as I'm sure there are a lot of people who'd feel the same way about spending so much on a Deputy Star -- only those with enormous wealth would/should consider buying it. Personally, I don't even have a HTP or MoN on any of my characters so I'm not in any rush to sell it at the moment, especially if there are no enticing offers.

 

So are you still selling that 84 kc? o.o
