error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified error)

    I tried to lanch the game thro the VMware system with Windows XP.
    However when I try to lanch it hit me with the error code: -2147467259 (Unspecified error).
    I looked up online however didn't find a fix.
    I tried to change hz and resulotion.
    Any one have a fix?

    I also get this issue and can't figure it out. I've tried all the solutions, nothing works. I'm unable to install VMWare Tools because the client is outdated.
    I'm going to install Windows 7 and try that on VMWare, maybe a newer version of windows will fix the issue.

    I'll let you know.

    Hello do this to install vmware tools.

    I fixed mine today so this probably will work, try it out

    So I set up my VM with Windows XP,
    Download that link/file on my VM, or on my host PC?

    "Then open my computer to open the disk and run the installer there."
    ^ Do I do that on my VM or on my host?

    I installed the VM tools, however it still doesn't work :\

    Right click on your desktop, and change your monitor refresh rate to 60 or above.

    Try deleting and recreating your VMWare I guess. If it still doesnt work you're SOL
