I'd like to address this issue that happens to me from time to time. The odds of it happening is less than 10% in my Total HT runs. But still, when it happens it makes me a good meme material among my friends. O,..,O so, Save Me Plz Description: - It only happens during Tail or Head A. - It has NEVER happened to me for both Pre Heads/Leg/HeadB/HeadC/Wing/Arms (in sample size around 50 runs). - The screen freeze for 2 sec or so before the client closes it down. No error message given. - It only crashes my client running HT and leaving other clients open as usual, if i had them opened. - I do perform GFX at the very second HT HP bar becomes visual upon summon, and I do keep GFX from time to time. - It happens on my Bucc which is in Super Transformation or the second I use Dragon Strike to clear mob, or when spamming Demolition at Tail or Barrage + Demo at head A (as a skill macro). (Because of Dragon Strike??) - I don't recall having this issue when i run on my Nightlord, but my Nightlord is still kinda new to HT. Will update if I receive the same Crash on my Nightlord. About My Setup: - I'm on a Mac, stats shown below. - Running MapleRoyals using Parallel under Coherence mode, which (i assume) is similar to VM Ware (@Tim I'd like to know if thatsTrue, thank you in advance if u do see this post and reply.) - Stats shown below: - Parrallel Stats shown blew - I use parallel to run Windows 10. Anti-Virus settings etc were all off the hook. - I have no problem with this set up in ALL cases including some extreme cases where I'm on 4~6 clients and they all receive/perform ultimates like genesis or blizzard. - I normally place my clients one next to another, shown below. (I dont overlap clients when HTing) AND WHY IN THE WORLD THEY ALWAYS GET MW20/GENE30 WHEN I CRASH ?_?
- Do you keep multiple clients open when you go to Horntail even if they dont overlap on your screen? - Have you tried Windows 7 on your Parallels? That seems to be more successful for people I know
This is the exact operating system I use to play Royals, including Horntailing: And I have this version of Parallels: I've done just fine with Horntailing on up to three clients at once. But my operating system is a bit outdated, as is my laptop: Additional notes is that I fullscreen all my clients when playing Royals and I use Parallels in its windowed mode. Fullscreening clients significantly reduces lag when I play because as far as I can tell, clients in the background that are fullscreened do not have their graphics rendered until you alt-tab to that client.
@Tim - yes since i Sed + Attacker a lot of times even right now im about to go in. - i have tried WinXP on my 2nd mac (same specs) but got this issue: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/mac-user-in-need-of-desperate-help.38323/ which is only fixable using the resizing method mentioned YET the fix only works when u r in full-screen mode, so its not so useful. Win10 doesnt have the issue mentioned in the link.
@Tim i must be dreaming. sorry didnt read well. I thought u mentioned about Windows XP, please disregard. I will try Win 7 when i got a chance.
Thank you for taking the effort replying. I think partially the reason with mac is because of Retina Display which im on. (15inch MBPr) I guess that has a whole lot things to do with the client
Edit. Crashed again today except it crashed when I run with my NL. So I guess it’s not a bucc only thing. 2 run 2 crashes First one got MW, as usual. 2nd one ongoing, I smell MW again.
Just a suggestion, but have you tried dual-booting your Mac computer with a Windows 7 or Windows XP operating system and then running Vmware from there? That way you bypass possibility that parallels is contributing to the crashes.
