    Hi all,

I'd like to know how I can value my (bucc-tailored) white pioneer in 4 various forms:

    1) 27 str 8 dex 6 slot
(as it is- 3x 30% passed out of 4)

    2) 57 str 8 dex
    (30/10% the remaining slots)

    3) 42 str 8 dex
    (1x more 30% + 70/60% the rest)

    4) 39 str 8 dex
    (70/60% the remaining slots)

** Any references would be helpful, but if you're able to provide your input based on your own experience, that's fine too!

    Thanks!

    So, I successfully passed 2 more 30%.

Would anybody be able to help value this?

Also, would like to value the White Pioneer at 45 Str 8 Dex (using 60/70% scrolls) and at 57 Str 8 Dex (finishing it with 30/10% scrolls).

The closest reference I was able to find was a 42 Str 13 Dex 2 slot White Pioneer to which the author had placed at A/W 6.5b in 2016 on the old source. Since 3 years has passed since that thread was written and, considering the buff of buccs in the new source, I believe that the prices for bucc itsms would've increased.

Also, what is the relationship between STR and weapon attack and/or DEX and weapon attack? How much would extra range would a 57 Str 8 Dex White Pioneer provide a Bucc compared to say a 38 Str 8 Dex White Pioneer (additional ~20 STR)? What would this mean in terms of the lines of damage can you do? Is it true that Buccs might even be able to hit max cap (199k) dmg on one of their lines?

Curiously, what do you find is the best part about playing a Buccaneer? How is it different from other melees- what are some things you have learnt to optimise your gameplay- i.e. using specific combos for certain bosses/mobs, any things you have to take note of (compared to say being a NL spamming TT on bosses), any perks or special features you distinctively like (e.g. sairs learning to dismount/remount their ship)?

Would appreciate if any people who's played a Buccaneer could provide their two cents?

P.S. Note to Admins, perhaps would you be able to help move this thread to the General Discussion or Help & Advice section?

Hi! I can't help you with an estimate of the price, but I do want to point out the following things:
    - Overall strength event scroll are non existent. If you wanna finish it without any risk, you could scroll with overall dex event. A bit of dex is quite nice for buccaneers, especially since this is an endgame equip, and the endgame weapon (Dragon Slash Claw) requires 110 dex. Or if you have massive balls you could try another 30%.
    - The reference post you found is before the buccaneer buff. Buccaneers items became quite a bit more expensive, so keep that in mind!!

5 str. is more or less 1 attack. I believe I gained 38 range for 5 strength, and 40 range for 1 weapon attack. As for dex, I wouldn't know to be honest.

As for the best part about bucc: It is quite easy, you have multiple strong skills to boss with (demolition and barrage). You can hit 199.999 with barrage quite easily with some form of attack pot, especially with these kind of equips. I can do it with an apple at lvl 166, but I am not at all that strong. It gives a real good feeling if you hit 199.999. Furthermore, bucc is easy to wash (I hate washing mechanic) and buccaneers have a huge amount of range for a melee class. I really enjoy the class.

As for mechanics; some people say switching between barrage and demolition gives the best DPS, but I am not sure about that. The only thing that could explain higher DPS using the combo, would be that the 'cooldown' between skills (small time before it 'casts' again), would be lowered. Personally, if I feel lazy I just use demolition, but sometimes I switch to barrage to see those 199.999 hits :). Maybe somebody else can clarify (hopefully with some concrete numbers), what skills are best to use DPS wise.

How do you play 11 months of this game and have a level 200 30k potential NL without knowing that overall STR event scrolls do not exist?

For what it’s worth my 30/8/6slot pioneer was sold for 2b to a friend last month

thanks to both for your comments, I just haphazardly typed overall event when I probably mean 60/70% with or without ws- (happens sometimes when you make the thread at 3am in the morning)

appreciate your input @SirBikeAlot and @GodlyBread as well as @Joez

your input has been incredibly insightful @SirBikeAlot! thanks for answering all my questions! buccs are really something to gain a grasp at- the mechanics, combos, maintaining the bubble, and balancing buffing the party, as well as the melee aspect, and i hope that my process of learning how to play one will be challenging and rewarding

hope we can keep the thread open to the floor for more discussion about the gameplay! it's a highly fascinating class
