If you "bake a pie and write -pi on it", that means you ate the words "pi" and a "pie" but you actually ate "2pi" in reality.
But if you write -pi then that mean you ate pie + (2pi - pi) which equals pi. The result is the same as writing pie + pi. So there you have it.
Oh you meant negative pi. In that case, you would have eaten 1 "pie" the carved words "-pi" and "2pi" in reality. That's a very intelligent way of looking at it though.
I don't have to carve the -pi, I can type them and so I can use a layer of color to type them. And since that layer consists of matter it counts as eating something real, namely -pi.
Someone didn't bother to read the all the comments before commenting apparently. We already confirmed that this was not the answer. I think I solved it though so guess I'm the winner even though I am not a math enthusiast.
But the end result is still the same. It gives you the result you want. You never said you can't eat more than one pi to get to the result you want. So does it matter if I ate pi + (2pi - pi) to get to pie + pi when you never said I can't eat more than one pie? The end result is still same. Next time you may want to be more specific about the rules.
