After fiddling about yesterday, I managed to start playing! Also, I'm a complete newb so please don't throw random technical words at me. When I tried to enter the fm (ch1), it force closes the game and gave me an Error Code: -2147287038 (Unknown error 0x80030002). However, changing the channel works. It also kicked me out a bunch of times when I entered the old wizard's house in Ellinia and in Henesys. The antivirus pop-up is very irritating. Is there a way to prevent the antivirus from deleting any files?
Both of you should try to update your files first. If it's been a while since you played, a full reinstall would be better than manually replacing some files. http://royals.ms/?page=download
Ummmmm, I deleted everything and redownloaded it again. What should I do with the Set-up? Modify, Repair or Remove? Edit: It still kicks me out.
I'm still getting this error, every time i enter channel 7.. I've tried to apply firewall too, but doesn't really seem to work either.
The error means you are missing specific files (updates) in your wz files. Unknown error means the server try load something in your client that doesn't exist. Are you sure you updated your wz files?
We were having a lot of issues with people having problems logging into the game and staying logged in yesterday. If the problems you were having are still persisting, particularly in Channel 1 FM and Henesys, then download the November Patch files from here, save them to your desktop, and then drag and drop them into your MapleRoyals folder: http://royals.ms/downloads/wz For antivirus issues, set Mapleroyals.exe as an exception in your antivirus program.
I've downloaded the November files already, but some things (Like the new Pilgrim hat) cause me to crash.
Compare your file sizes to the ones at the downloads section? I have no clue why you would d/c from that if you had the correct files.
Yep, this sounds like a case of outdated files. You can download the individual files here: http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/ You will only need to download those listed with November patch.
