IGN: Publicity, Thresh, Enamel, Chicxulub (each of these IGN's pertains to a separate account of mine) Problem: My brother and I's Mapleroyals accounts are still linked even after we applied for whitelist. Details: I tried to vote but it says I must wait X amount of time before I can vote (the Mapleroyals website, not GTop100 meaning that it's not an IP issue, it's a linked account issue). This X amount of time coincides with my brother's X amount of time as well (further supporting the notion that our accounts are linked and recognized as one when they shouldn't be). We have both applied for a whitelist already and it was accepted so I'm not sure why this is still an issue. He is voting on his 3G while I am voting on our home internet (I recently moved back home). Some of my brothers IGN's: Kosy, Karthus, Viadimir Thank you for your time and assistance EDIT: Upon discussion with my brother he said he accidentally voted on WiFi, which likely triggered the system to link our accounts. Could our accounts please be separated since we are not the same person, thus allowing us to vote separately again (one on LTE/3G and the other on WiFi).
In addition, to make things difficult... My older brother has started to play (went from the occasional log-in to everyday login) on accounts with names: CossackStar, Photophilic (each of these names pertains to a unique account as well). I can create another white list thread with pictures if needed (and we take turns voting) but for now can my younger brother and I's accounts please be separated?
If you're both living in the same location, you need to wait until your whitelist application is approved. Before that time, you are only allowed to take turns voting. If your brother is voting on his phone and you are voting on wifi, that will still get you banned for vote abuse.
My younger brother and I have both applied for whitelist, and it has been approved before. Which was the initial reason for creating this thread. The auxiallary information regarding my older brother is irrelevant (more of a side issue for the future). EDIT: I've told my older brother not to start voting until this issue with my younger brother and I is resolved to avoid getting banned, as you've mentioned. I'm familiar with the ToS.
If you're having issues even with a successful whitelist application, I'll see if I can forward this to some administrators to take a look.
Thank you very much @Shane . We had a white-list application approved a while back (while we were on vacation together around Christmas 2018 since we were playing in the same residence) but then once vacation ended we went our separate ways. I went back to Toronto for my schooling (and have been voting mainly on my internet downtown) until the beginning of March, when I came back to my hometown and coincidentally my younger brother (now followed by my older brother) have decided to start playing with the COVID-19 Quarantine in effect. I think me coming back home after being voting on a different WiFi for so long has triggered this event?
Hey I'm one of his 3 brothers, Stefan. IGN: Karthus/rammus/skarner/kosy, etc. Recently our third brother joined Mapleroyals and is causing an even bigger voting problem now. Can we white-list him into our forum post as well? I also have been voting at my girlfriends apartment in Waterloo, in-case you guys are wondering how I'm still voting.
Yes this is the case now, I've moved back home for good. My younger brother apparently has been voting while away at his girlfriends (Separate WiFi) while I've been voting at home in his absence (~5-7 days). This should still be okay right?
Hi, If the MapleRoyals website tells you that you have voted then you are voting from a connection that has already been used to vote with, or an account that has already voted. The details for this has been explained in the voting rules as part of signing up for the Whitelist: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/voting-rules.15580/ Please let us know if you have any further questions.
Thank you for your response Andreas. Yes this is what I'm hoping to regain. Under whitelist rules I should be able to vote on my Connection 1 (Wifi) while my brother votes on Connection 2 (Phone), however this is not the case. The current state is this: If I vote Connection 1 (Wifi) then my brother is still unable to vote on Connection 2 (Phone) saying to wait X amount of time since I last voted on Connection 1. This is not how you've outlined it works in the voting rules you just referenced. Which means there's an error that recognizes our accounts as the same person. The error message comes up on the MapleRoyals website, not GTop100. Each of us, together, cannot only achieve 8k NX per day, when under whitelist voting rules we should be able to achieve 16k (8k each). We have opened a whitelist application roughly in December of 2018, which was accepted. Therefore we are not vote abusing, I'm very cautious about this because I know how serious of an offense this is.
I think I've seen a loophole in my argument here. If our accounts are truly linked then my brother shouldn't have been able to vote while at his girlfriends, but he has been everyday. I'm not sure why but it seems like that internet connection is fine (his girlfriends) but when he comes home the problem still persists that when one of us votes on WiFi then the other isn't able to vote on 3G. Why would this be the case? In addition, should we just apply for a whole new whitelist? Since my older brother is starting to want to vote for NX and I've been telling him not to everyday. Maybe we should apply for a whitelist for all 3 of us and see how it goes from there?
