Overview
The majority of my funds since starting royals in 2018 have been through mage farming(bishop: GreyG00se, I/L mage: Kamira), passive income through voting, some instances of merching, and capitalization on big events such as the Chinese New Years event (I've participated in both CNY events in 2019/2020 extensively), and some scrolling.

Beginnings/Mage Farming
The moment I hit 120 in 2018 on my bishop (GreyG00se), I've always dedicated the majority of my time on royals to farming. At this point, I never really thought of myself as a bosser. To me, farming was the most fun thing to do. It's not for everyone, I understand. However, for me, getting lost in the game, farming away has always been for me, the equivalent of yoga or the gym for some people. Mage farming has always been my way of venting the day's frustrations away as I continually use genesis or blizzard to clear away mobs, as if its clearing my problems away. This continued for a really long time. It almost seemed weird for people that I only played mages and farmed and sold leech. To be honest, as I continually farming up mesos, I had no idea what to do with it so I just hoarded it all until I could figure out what I wanted out of this game.

Transitioning Into a Collector
It wasn't until during the summer of 2019, until I figured out what one of my goals would be. It was during the chair gachapon event where I saw so many cool and unique chairs available that I decided I wanted to be a collector. It wasn't about flexing (maybe a little), but it was something that made me feel like my work in this game was paying off. Obtaining these chairs was tangible proof that my goals could be accomplished. This appreciation for collecting eventually extended towards rare NX. I believe I had a PM conversation with you (2/13/20), Johnny, you noticed I was trying to collect rare NX and offered to sell me a Sakura Sword which I was not interested in at the time. We even talked about my goals of collecting all the angel/demon blades one day.

To answer your question about my rare chairs. They were mainly obtained through the chair gachapon event, or purchasing them for cheap towards the tail-end of the event when people were selling them off cheap. For example, I obtained Ryko for only ~400m. The only rare chairs that were not obtained during the chair gachapon event was Winter Red Chair signed by RayC and Chewing Panda. Chewing panda was bought recently for 2b at Xves' store. Winter Red chair was obtained through a player named Peternity. I got the Azula Katana and Winter Red Chair from him. Fast forward a little bit, I saw a forum user named 231213 selling his Sachiel Sword. This was the first time I had seen one for sale so I jumped on it and traded him the Azula Katana I had gotten from Peternity and top up of 10.5B to meet his A/W. I was afraid of a bidding war like what I saw with the Ice Flower that sold around the same time, it eventually went to autowin anway. As to the pirate flag I have in inventory on SirQueef, this was purchased from a player named ILLO. I remember smegaing a while back, when I was trying to buy this. Journey Towards Bossing
Farming was still fun for me, but eventually I started feeling like I wasn't really contributing anything to my guild. They're a bunch a memesters and its always a good time, however, I never really went on any bossing runs with them, except maybe 2 times on my bishop at HT, where I ran into prehead and locked the buyer out (yikes). So, inevitability, I decided to finally take making attackers and gearing up more seriously. I had started a SE in the past (Luella, ~137 marksman), however gave up on it because MM, they uh kinda whack no offense. So with the mesos that I had farmed up for over a year and half (around ~65b) at this point, I bought a 145 DSB in game from a player with IGN: BMonster to make my BM (ToeGaps) formidable. Eventually, I also decided to make a NL because at the end of the day this game is NL Story.
As to my other gear currently on my NL. The RC was bought from I believe Stinde, he had just bought a DPS and was selling off his RC. I still had over 30b left over at this point after the bow purchase. The glove was made in late 2019. I had landed 2 30%, did a 30%/ws, and 10%/ws the rest to finish the 20 attack scg. The cape and shoes were made more recently. Though I had used most of the nx I had saved from my time voting (never really used much of it) and the 2 chinese new year events for APRs to wash my NL, I still had ~2,250,000 nx left and decided to gach it at Mushroom Shrine. This 2m run done on char: Luella, netted me 24 CS. I used 14 CS of the 24 to create the cape and shoes that I am currently wearing on my NL: SirQueef. The rest of the CS(10) are still on my BM, ToeGaps which is in the same account as Luella. If you check Luella, you will see I still have not sold the majority of scrolls/ele6/purple gaia capes that I obtained from that run. And eventually I sold off some of my weaker gear that I had been using in the interim.

Obtaining Veamoth
During the progression of my NL and as I was also slowly training my BM doing Krex/Zak/Etc.., I found a player named Xves through another player named nonchalance who told me Xves had a veamoth that was up for grabs. I never stopped being a collector, as I told you in my PM once, one of my goals is to collect all the demon/angel blades. Nonchalance said the price was 30b, which matched the price of another veamoth sold on forums a while ago. I offered my DSB which is also valued at 30b and Xves accepted. This was probably the happiest moment on Royals for me. Janus still eludes me, but perhaps one day exodia can be completed.

Misc
There was also an isolated event which netted me an additional 2b along the way. I purchased a 88 perfect revolver from a player who I have forgotten for 4b and merched it to a guildy, for 6b. (Sorry Doton, couldn't resist the gains). This was by far my largest merch, however, I'm sure there are smaller scale examples of this that I can't remember from these past 2 years.

I hope this gives insight as to my time on Royals so far and how I obtained the majority of the items I have today.

Sorry, this turned out much longer than I had anticipated. Didn't really know how to give you an explanation without giving a full backstory. It was fun jogging through memory lane. If you have any more questions, I will answer them tomorrow as I will be off for tonight to rest.

where did you farm & which character(s) did you sell leech on? when did this occur specifically in 2018 because it seems like you joined mapleroyals in late 2018/early 2019?

were most of the listed transactions and "merching" above solely just in game transactions? it seems like you only started using the forums to post near the end of 2019/start of 2020 and most of your posts are related to buying high value rare nx items which raises suspicion.

I do not remember the exact date I joined in 2018, however, the forum account creation date does not coincide with the creation date of my in game account. By the time I had created my forum account, I believe I already reached 120+. With regards to the leeching/farming question. As I hit 120 on my first mage(GreyG00se), I started off selling low level leach and progressed onto ulu leeching. Slowly, I gravitated towards simply farming ulu 1 on my bs(GreyG00se) and i/l(Kamira) as I have had some rowdy encounters with unpleasant leech buyers. I still sometimes sold leech, however, I naturally preferred farming ulu 1 and sometimes ulu 2 (as I leeched my own characters) since it was more peaceful and I didn't have to worry about fat fingering my tcing and maximizing exp. In the past, before I focused on my attackers, I typically tried to farm atleast 2-3 hours a day after work on the weekdays, however the weekends varied extensively. Some weekends, it was 10+ hrs a day, some 5+ hrs a day. However, I am not a robot, so are there are days where I had to skip out on to address IRL concerns. Such is life.

To clarify the "merching" aspect, I threw in "merching" because I wanted to account for 100% of the income I had produced for completeness sake, however, I wouldn't really characterize myself as an avid mercher. From time to time, I will run into something that is below market value like that perfect clean revolver for 4b which I sold for 6b. There are other times where I even merched inadvertently. I remember there was an instance where I found a 126 nisrock in a shop for ~500m, I thought that was cheap and I could use it for my BM that I was beginning to develop. I didn't even know it was worth ~1-1.2b (sold for 1b in shop on ToeGaps) until after I had acquired my DSB. I guess u can call that merching, but I never really went into that trade with the intention of merching. This is essentially what I mean by "some instances of merching" in my first post. I'm not avidly searching the fm for deals, but over time you kind of just run into things that are below market value and sometimes I capitalized on them knowingly and sometimes even unknowingly like with the 126 nisrock. And yes, most of my transactions have been in game, except for the pirate flag, sachiel, and Peternity's christmas event prize(Azula Katana and Winter Red) which I initiated through forums.

To your claim of me only starting to use forums to post near the end of 2019/start of 2020, I understand why you believe that, however, my original forum account which I created in Nov 4, 2018 with the name of GreyG00se was merged with the account you see today. What had happened was, I lost access to the original email I used to create the first forum account, so I made another one in late 2019. I found out that you are not allowed to have two active forum accounts and told Tim my situation. He merged the accounts for me. I attached an image of that pm from the time Tim help me with the merging situation.


However, when the merge happened, I lost access to my previous posts. I cant see them, and I assume Johnny, you can't see them either. I definitely had at least some previous posts, I don't remember of what exactly.

Also Johnny, I can understand your suspicion of my recent posts relating only to high value rare nx items. In my defense, recently, I'm mainly on forums to do just that, to look for rare nx/items for my collection. Towards the end of 2019, I never really felt the need to use forums to trade regular items, as I believe that can be easily done in the FM through shop and using Owls to find what you need. On forums, I am after the things I can't find on a daily basis in game. Since 2018, I have never seen anyone with a Sachiel, or was selling a sachiel in game. Maybe I wasn't online at the right time, but I try to use forums to fill in the gaps since the posts last forever, as apposed to a fleeting smega that I could miss if I looked away at the wrong time. That's my rationale behind the way I use forums.

 

Tim:

I would periodically suicide my mages when they were close to leveling. As mentioned in the previous post, though I prefer the peacefulness of solo farming, I still sometimes sold leech and sometimes leeched my own characters. My mages are already over-leveled and can 1 shot what I need when geared properly. I didn't see any advantage towards continuing to level them as that would continue to decrease exp gains. I remember when I made my first attacker (Luella) and I was doing low level leech on my ~160 BS. That was painful. As to the question about how much mesos I've farmed with those two accounts. I would estimate upwards of 65B, since the tail-end of 2018.

There were months where I was earning ~8b, so I'm not seeing how the total can only come out to ~20b throughout the entire time I've been playing this game.
