I know this has been brought up before, but a friend of mine and myself were discussing a certain map with a certain mob and realizing that even though you guys say you boosted the spawn, it's no where near what it was in GMS. I'm talking about wind raiders. I know it's a tired subject but maybe if you look into it, you could see why no one really trains there and they also give amazing exp for their level. I mean, who wants to be at ghost ship and then go to wolf spiders? I think some people would like the travel/effort to go fight good monsters with a good spawn, instead of the tired same old usual places. Yes, there is PLENTY of other maps with other monsters but, let's be real...no one has any interest in them. I feel like it could benefit a lot of players, especially those who still like crimson wood and since there's no CWKPQ would love that they could at least be there doing something. Just a suggestion, no hate. Thanks.
As someone who has argued this before, I completely support the idea. its probably my favorite training spot of all time. it sure would really hit home if I could see it again in all of its former glory.
How much of an increase does it actually need? And/or does the respawn time need decreasing or increasing. No op plz.
@Matt - I'll check into this tomorrow for you and let you know (I trained at WR a lot in GMS and in here)
Just quoting to say, it's definitely my account for the dc. My spare account works fine, and I like never dc. So please pm me on here or something, I need this fixed :/
Windraiders were one of my favorite spots to go at 50+ in GMS because the spawn was amazing, but I was extremely disappointed when I went there on here. Same with Typhons, aka, archer paradise in 4th job since they're about the same as himes and hit about 3-4x lower. It's been too long for me to actually know how much of a spawn increase they need, not that I even know how that works. I just know that compared to GMS, both of those maps are severely nerfed. I trained at WR on my GMS MM from 51 to low/mid 7x when my Arrow Eruption was getting decent. There would be 4-5+ WR on most of the platforms by the time I got to them, and even more on the larger platforms. At Typhons, I would be able to make a small round of the map and gather a ton that I could just stand in the middle and kill, while others would constantly fly through to make an even bigger group of monsters. I checked out the map yesterday and it just seemed to be lacking compared to how I remember it.
I'm not sure how the spawn relates to the GMS levels, all I know is it's still noticeably worse than ghost ship. If you're looking into buffing this, also consider a small increase to the stormbreaker spawn at cavern of pain. It's a non-party spot, but it's a decent enough alternative to wolfspiders. It's also quite a small map, so it's probably not very good for leeching. Anything we can do to encourage training and discourage leeching is a good move in my book.
At lower ascent, I think the spawn rate is actually pretty spot on already. it's just that there needs to be a higher max amount of mobs that are allowed to spawn on each platform. one platform in particular is the far left platform. That one should be able to accumulate upwards of 12+ mobs. right now you can only get 3 wrs to spawn there. With that, the amount of stormbreakers per platform should also be more than 3. there was a certain point in time where the amount of windraiders on the map would be dependant on how many stormbreakers were spawned. connecting these ideas, I remember the spawn in gms per platform being more so dependant on the total map spawn itself; you could concentrate a lot of the spawn to a few platforms based on what you killed on the map. as it is now, it looks like it's a set amount of spawn per platform. So really I wouldn't touch the actual spawn rate on the map. I would just change the spawn dynamics, specifically, the amount of mobs allowed per platform.
Nah, I think that AND a little buff maybe wouldn't hurt. I was there a few months ago and it was horrid.
