I found a hacker but i can't track him down without a GM

He / she keeps changing channel so i can't track. First hacker i've found so far but i think i found a whole group this time

 

Use ~mapowner to get their name and then you can /find them

I recommend using a program like ShareX to create a video. Show yourself tracking them, ccing, and then tracking them again to see they keep auto cc-ing. Try to include ~servertime somewhere in the video as well

Kind of dumb to not utilize the tools they give you so they can take care of it when they're available rather than demanding they be on call.

 

First about as i already said, i can't track t his guy without a GM since he changes channel before i can even see this hacker. I saw this hacker first time on another map and then he just vanished to another map where i can't catch him for jack shit. It would be easier if a GM came and banned him. And 2ndly i really don't care much anymore so i will let someone else catch this hacker.I have better things to do than waste my time on downloading tools i don't really even wanna use. I do appreciate it though.

 

1. Someone earlier told you what to do. You use ~mapowner to catch them, yes that would mean you could go on the map after the hacker has left and as long as you don't attack anything you'll see his ign.
2. You don't have to download anything, they are commands in the game. Why would I ask you to download a third party program outside of the game to perform actions in game?
3. I'm glad you value your time so much, I'm sure you are very important. Could have saved everyone time if you just used the ~Mapowner command, got the IGN, and not bothered with this thread, or my time clarifying something so basic.

Nor is it the responsibility of the GM to be on call for such an asinine request. He offered no map, no details, just "message me". Then when I pointed out how stupid that was, they got upset. Pick your fights better, kiddo.

 

First about DUDE i already used mapowner and /find thing but how the HELL can i catch a player that teleported across the fkin ocean to the another realm? I ain't surely wasting my money and time to catch a hacker when i only cared about it for like what 10 minutes? Also i know how to take a screenshot thank you very much. The guy was clearly not afking and teleported instantly when he saw me. I would probably waste millions / a lot of NX by catching this guy because he obviously used tele rocks to change maps.

This is why i wanted a GM to catch him because i'm broke enough already.

Okay calm down bounty hunter bonehead. Since you're using terms like "realms" you probably aren't very familiar with how the game works or what evidence you need to provide. Your best contribution as a user would take an SS of the map ownership, and report saying you couldn't get an image of the guy hacking since, as you said, he probably has a bot that instant teleports. The Gm has tools to determine this, I'm not entirely familiar but I know this much; GM's can track every damn thing your account does down to the last monster you killed. I'm sure they have tools to see the character was attacking in one spot, hitting 40 mobs at once in a 1hko fashion, which as you may or may not know is not possible even with mage.

Then aren't you fortunate I'm taking so much time to explain that you don't have to do that. The issue isn't you made a thread, it's the fact you made a thread demanding a GM contact you like you're some kind of 9 year old playing sheriff. Even your explanations reek of self importance, when you could have saved yourself a bunch of time just by taking that single screenshot and submitting it like anyone else with common sense would do.

A Gm doesn't have to present at the scene to make a decision like that, they just need leads to whom to look into. That's why a thread like this is ridiculous because you're making yourself the middle man in a transaction that shouldn't exist.

D-did you make another forum account to add some kind of fake support to yourself? Because that comment wasn't even related to you lmao. Look, if being told the proper way to report, an easier way even, is what dissuades you from reporting at all, then no value lost. I say that because the way you report is absolutely worthless and unreliable.

 

Why do you have to be rude towards me? I didn't call people by names here. I didn't know that i should take a SS of mapowner name. People told me to SS and video capture him / her which was impossible. And what i meant by that realm thing is that the guy disappeared VANISHED to another map. Just because i play maplestory doesn't mean i have to use same terms lol. And what is your point here anyways? I never meant anything bad here and i just wanted to capture a hacker. Since you calling GM such smart and intelligent here i can't seem to even report a player from inside a game. But thanks for the laughs so you calm here mr brown tongue of forums. Also i've already reported and the guy got banned ( not a hacker though ) so i know how to make a report. I just didn't know what to do with this teleporting across the realm ( to make it very clear to you, i meant maplestory maps and places ).

Can a GM close this thread? It's going nowhere and i've basically moved on and i really don't care. It's just getting more toxic here.

 

People are getting 'rude' with you because as said, your attitude is really entitled. Other people smega / mention hackers in the shoutbox pretty often. Sometimes, even when GMs aren't around or looking at it. The problem is you say you want to capture hackers, but you've said in other replies you don't wanna put effort into doing so because you're lazy. When you said that, you basically set yourself up for people to respond in the way they did.

You can't hold GMs to standards you don't seem to hold yourself to in the first place.

 

It's not about my attitude. I still didn't call people by names. It's not fair when you think about it just because of some '' forum attitude '' that seems to affect you human beings and i did smega.. TWICE. Using 1 messenger and 1 smega. It's not that i'm lazy.. you still don't understand do you? THE GUY VANISHED MAN. It would take me ages to go after him and as a new player i can't afford shit really. I don't know how GM works here so no need for all this bullshit against me.

The only thing i am lazy is to download recording programs with my shitty internet and computer and put some effort into recording shit. I can only take 1 SS at a time and it still wouldn't make a difference since I CAN'T capture teleporting from map to map hackers. This guy literally went from florina beach to ariant so what should i do huh? I didn't know i should take a picture of map owner name and post it because i thought it's not enough ok?

-press scroll lock (saves to your mapleroyals folder)
-upload to report abuse section.
You don't have to chase hackers, but it definitely helps with the load on the gms and helps the server, and we appreciate it a lot.
