Today i got in a situation where my fm spot got stolen.. Now i heard afterwards from GM sila that there are no rules about this, just that if there are 2 stores at the same spot both will be deleted. I think this is not a bad outcome if none of the players can prove that they where standing on that spot first. Now the clue on this post; I think a new rule should be made, if one of the guys can prove that you stole the spot (which i think can only be done by catching him on camera) and if no other person took the spot, you get your spot back. Now i understand this is not always the case, so that this might not be possible. Now what IS possible, is a ban for the unfriendly behavior of the stealer. I don't think this deserves a permanent ban, but a 3 day ban will do. i made another tread with my camera shot of the steal, http://royals.ms/forum/threads/sad-and-unfriendly-behavour.16259/ There are spots free after every server reset and every 24h uptime, so the spot doesn't matter to me. But i do think such childish and unfriendly behavior should be punished. Sorry if my grammar isnt the best btw haha.
Unless you have proof of unfriendly behavior, there shouldn't be any actions placed. If you lost a spot due to resetting a shop, there's no reason a GM should intervene. A ban should be reserved for those who actually break the rules. If bans were placed this easily, this would destroy the moral of the server.
I agree with you. Like i also said above, if one of the guys CAN prove that someone (for example) stole their spot, the unfriendly one should be punished. I created this post to suggest making a rule for being proven unfriendly, which to me is not destroying the moral of the server but helping it.
This kind of situations happens everyday and I think GM have more than enough work already. There is a rule and sila told u about. P.S i dont usually stalk spot like this but u know this is fm1 door spot so there is always competition
That rule is applied for double fm spots, while my suggest is for unfriendly behavior. The title is misleading, my bad.
If that was the case a lot of players would be getting banned, waste of Gm's time. Fm 1 spots are not that important anymore since the owl works, players can search for their desired items.
The only rules about spots are the unwritten ones. If one is standing on an empty spot, you don't take it. But since there are no official rules about it, nothing can and will be done about it UNLESS 1 of the shops can not be entered at all. Which is the one people can not enter. Personally I don't feel we should add rules to this, but rather fix the overlapping shop issue.
in GMS you got the spot when you finished the name of the shop, instead of click "open store". I did not mention this earlier because i though everybody knew. Maybe change that back, it won't make shop issues impossible, but it will help 99% of the time
IIRC, in GMS in 2006/7, you couldn't open your store again on the spot it had been in, and needed to move, even if only a little, before you could open your store again. You weren't meant to set up your store on the same spot each time, which makes sense, as it's only fair that people get to take turns on the good spots.
