General Information MapleRoyals is a non Pay2Win MapleStory private server that was started on 17 May 2013, the current client is based on version 0.83. While we pride ourselves as an old school server, we still make a continuous effort to make adjustments to the game for better gameplay purposes, as we believe not everything on the base game was great, and we may on occasions skipped certain contents (potential scrolls, miracle cubes and Scissors of Karma for example) and also incorporate contents from later versions of the game, such as Ulu City (Version 0.91), Lion King's Castle/ Lion Heart's Castle (Version 0.96) and Ellin Forest Expansion (Version 1.07). Terms and Conditions To ensure players have an enjoyable and pleasant experience with us, we have a zero-tolerance policy towards hackers and exploiters. Furthermore, we may operate on rules you were not used to back in the original game, such as sharing your game account with friends or anyone else, kill stealing, player harassment, scamming and engaged in real world trading (RWT). Breaking them can lead to a permanent ban from the server, that means you as a person is barred from coming back to play on our server for life. Hence, we strongly urge you to keep yourself informed about the rules and regulations surrounding the server and abide by them. The links to the terms of services are linked below. Server - Rules surrounding the game and the protections you have as a player. Forum - Forums are a great place for discussions, exchange of information and forming new communities. However in order to facilitate this, you have to follow our forum guidelines. To start a private conversation with a public player, you need to have at least 50 posts and/or comments. Voting - Voting once a day for the server on the GTOP100 website is a great way to not only to support the server, it also allows you earn some mesos and your character's cosmetic. To deter abuse and maintain an even playing field as much as possible we have a strict voting policy! Vote abuse is no joke! You as a person is only allowed to vote once a day! Reporting a Player/Abusive behaviour Occasionally, in your numerous adventures, you might have discovered an exploit or encounter a player who is behaving in an abusive manner. You can take a screenshot and report it here. All information shared between you and staffs will be strictly confidential, this is done to protect your identity from the abusers and potential acts of revenge! Spoiler: Correct Format • Post an unedited media that shows the full client, either direct screenshots on the computer or video recordings. The staffs do not accept cropped or edited images or recordings that is taken from other devices, like your mobile phones, camcorders or any other external capturing devices. This is to ensure the evidence are not manipulated. We hope to seek your cooperation in this. • Showing ~servertime command in the media evidence is a great way to expediate the investigation process, as this gives the staffs a timestamp to check the logs. The cost to buy back an item is 5,000,000 mesos. Items sold to an NPC are available to buy back for 3 hours up to a limit of 250 items, and will not disappear due to a Server Check. Multi-Client Using multiple clients to play at the same time is allowed here, just click the game icon again to open a new client. However, you are not allowed to use more than 1 account to concurrently participate in GM or certain seasonal events. Download On occasions, your computer will detect MapleRoyals as a virus or a trojan, rest assured that our files contain no form of malware and it is safe for download. This is a false positive reading. If your protective software is deleting or preventing you from playing, you can just add it into exception. Server Features Rates 3.2x Experience and Quest Rate / 4x Mesos Drop Rate / 2x Items Drop Rate Due to the numerous changes and adjustments we have made over the years, our advertised rates are not considered true universal rates. So there be occasions where monsters' experience, locations and drops will not accurately reflect what is presented on the database and guides like Hidden Street. Training & Equipment To encourage players to explore the Maple World, we have a functioning Medal and Monster Book system. Furthermore, all area bosses have a chance of dropping NX cards value at 150 and 250, tougher bosses might have an additional chance of dropping 5,000 NX card. In our server, we have the unique godly system. Whenever you gain a piece of equipment or weapon, there is a 1 in 10 chance of it being affected by the 'godly items' feature, which imbues it with better than average stats. So keep hunting till you get an item that you are satisfy with! Lastly, there is an additional 10% experience boost when grinding in a party per active party member. So don't grind alone, take a friend or two with you! All bosses, including body parts, have an elemental weakness. With the exception of magicians, all classes can do Spring of Youth quest and Elixir of Life. Doing so can result in a temporarily ban until your name is change! You don't need to roll the dice for your stats - they will be reset the moment you first log into the game. The experience and drop rates on Maple Island are 1x Exp; 2x Meso; 2x Drop. You have to be at least level 7 to leave Maple Island. It is recommended to stay there at least till level 8/10. Job advancement works the same way as it did in GMS. For more details, please see Plenty's Job Advancement Guide. 1) Know beforehand what classes do you want to pick and their Ability Point requirements. As you aren't able to reset your character's AP at all. Reading class guides created by more experienced players can also greatly help smoothen your journey for you. • Warriors (35 STR) Hero | Paladin | Dark Knight Warriors are typically strong, enjoy high amount of health and defense. But their downside is their slow and suffer from accuarcy issues from early to mid game. • Thieves (25 DEX) Night Lord | Shadower Thieves are the master of stealth. Their are fast, mobile and capable dishing high amount of damages. But their suffer from a smaller health pool and typically bad at handling large groups of monsters. • Archers (25 DEX) Bowmaster | Marksman Archers excel at long range attacks and have a wide range of skills that makes them useful in many types of situation, whether be it in solitary, party training or crowd control. Their naturally high levels of accuracy and range allows them to train on monsters that levels that are higher than them. However, their suffer from a smaller health pool, have limited mobility and bad at close range combat. • Magicians (20 INT) Bishop | Ice/Lightning Archmage | Fire/Poison Archmage Magicians are excellent choices for many new and experienced players, they are strong, highly versatile, and unmatched at handling large groups of monsters. However, they are typically weak at handling boss monsters and monsters that are resistance against their elements. • Pirates (20 DEX) Corsair | Buccaneer Molded by the times spend in the high seas, pirates has evolved a fightstyle that is different from the land dwellers. Depending on which pathway you, whether by the slick metallic feel of the pistol, or the up and close personal, of using your fist. Your journey will be entirely different. The Corsair lived by the code of the gun, they hit hard and dodge fast, because of this trait, they have a small health pool. Buccaneer enjoy close range combat, their more mobile than warriors but have a lower health pool than them. 2) NPC Phil charges 90% for beginners heading to Perion, Ellinia, Henesys, Kerning City and Nautilus Harbor. 3) Doing quests given by your job instructors and around your town will award you a decent amounts of experience and potions. 4) At level 15 and above, you can start selling fame once every 24 hour or once a month if is the same character. 5) At level 15 and above, you can start voting for NX, everyday you as a person/household is entitled 8,000 nx once a day, which reset every 00:00:00 server time. NX is valuable because they allow players to purchase usable and comestic items. At later levels, you able to access to Gachapon machine, which give players a random reward per use. Please observe our voting policy! 6) While the Dungeon located in Sleepywood, is a great place to train at level 21 and above. It can be treacherous journey to return back, with numerous strong foes littering your path. Consider getting a scroll that allows you to return you back to your hometown. 7) Doing the Mystery of Nora's Hospital in Kerning City available at level 25, will award you with a yellow raggedy cape, which is worth about 20-25m in the free market. What a Game Master player (GM) can and cannot do While a GM may look all-powerful and all-knowing, they actually not, they have a lot of limitation of what they can assist on. Learn what do they do! Spoiler: Roles & Limitations GMs are just like players like you and me, they are typically are players who have volunteered to take a more proactive role in supporting the server and community. They do not get paid and they also have their own real-life responsibilities. So do please be understanding with them if they are unable to get to you immediately. Roles 1. Enforcement: GMs are there to help with the enforcement of the server rules and catching of abusers on the server. This includes investigating claims, compiling evidences and issuing out penalities. 2. Refunds: GMs can offer players refund or rewarp to boss battles if there is a server wide issues. They do not rewarp players back into boss or PQs runs when they lag out or encountered a client problem. 3. Community Organisers: GMs are there to help out with planning, organising of GM events and giving out event prizes. (Russian Roulette, Ola Ola etc) Limitations 1. GMs cannot assist you with account-related issues. This includes. • Password, username and email recovery. • Refund for lost NX due to voting issues. • Accidental character/s delection. • Donation related matters. For account recovery, you have to use either the control panel, or support. Support for character restoration or account related issue can be made on the character issues. 2. GMs cannot mediate player disputes. They can issue bad faith players a ban for disruptive behaviours like scams or not returning borrowed items if they have enough evidence collected by accusser. Remember, you have to provide the paperwork and evidence! 3. GMs cannot refund player's mistakes. If you have accidentally drop a Horntail egg or add a point to the wrong skill, you have to either do the quest again or purchase items like SP reset to fix it. Being a GM emcompass a lot of responsibliites and facing situations you might not be comfortable with. How long can I expect RP to be added into my account after purchase?
