Some bosses such as bigfoot have a very long timer. The more people looking for them the more scarce they are. It's not a problem (don't get me wrong) but recent events made this server 3 times more popular than it used to be.
My suggestion would be that every hour passes, the time left for the next boss to appear would be.
    How will it work?
Suppose we have a boss with spawn timer of 12 hours
Every hour (suppose now it's 11) we will decrease avg_online_players/MAX_PLAYERS from the timer (calculating the avg_online_players can be done by sampling the amount of players every minute sum them and divide by 60) and MAX_PLAYERS can be a constant = 5,000 for example.

    Example:
Bigfoot died at 13:00 timer shows 12 hours. (next bigfoot at 1 AM)
between 13:00 and 14:00 there were 3,000 players on average
at 14:00 the timer show 11 hours. After scaling to population it shows 10:24 (next bigfoot at 00:24).
Between 14:00 and 15:00 there were 2500 players on average
at 15:00 the timer shows 9:24. After scaling to population it shows 8:54 (next bigfoot at 11:54).

    and so on....

In practice the thing that will happen if there were 60% of max players the waiting time will decrease from 12 hours to 7.6 hours (Because you wait the 1st hour, and you take 60% off the rest of the time so in our case it would be 1 + 60% of 11), so if the server is more populated there are more bosses.

If the server is rather empty, the bosses will be respawned at their base rate.

    Thanks for reading

I mean it's not a bad idea, but if this was a reality, people would begin to train at those maps even more since more bosses = more experience = better training spot.

With time you will realize the solution actually made the problem worst.

The real solution I SEE to this problem is to add more maps for attackers to train killing mobs. I would really love to see something like the Von Lion Castle where people trained in parties of 6. Training like that was really fun.

    I appreciate your input.
First of all I didn't introduce a problem. Having more people in the server isn't a problem i'd rather have bigger community over bosses alive, it's just a suggestion that in my opinion should have been activated from the very beginning and these days if you are an attacker you can see what is happening.
Secondly, imagine the server was first introduce with a scaling timer system, the waiting time would become a standard and people wouldn't go more than they are now. In addition, scaling the timer will add randomness to spawn times so people will not be able to keep track over that from server restart and kill everything, so the system of killing a bf, starting a timer and waiting for it to respawn based on the timer you set up will no longer be viable (because i don't think people would wake up in the middle of the night to see how many active people were there), and therefore everyone should get a fair chance of getting a boss.

The addition of Von Lion Castle isn't a counter idea to mine and those ideas are not related. They should add Von Lion castle because it is cool and not because it solves training problem, and that could go to a completely different suggestion.
