It would be awesome if the donor cash items can be shared among other characters of the same account. I strongly recommend that.
this has specifically been rejected in the past as the intent of donor items is to be cosmetic, and this would lead to them possibly being sold, and therefore giving donators an advantage over others.
As in via storage? It would be wonderful if they did introduce such a system, but it lowers the incentive to donate if you can share the items you've bought between characters on the same account. By not allowing you to transfer items over, you'll have to donate more money to receive more RP to purchase more donor items (possibly even more of what you already own). It's not a perfect system, and probably wouldn't be too hard to introduce. I personally see no problem keeping it strictly between characters of the same account, because by allowing them to be tradable you will create a pay2win situation.
Yes, can be by the cash shop inventory storage. I feel that since the characters belong to the same donor of the same account, there shouldn't be any problem for the donor to maximize the usage of the items purchased by sharing it among his/her own characters. Hope they upgrade the system.
I agree. This shouldn't be an issue and people should be able to transfer items between characters. I'm sure most people feel that way. I also suggested it via the storage, because afaik, you can't store items in the cash shop yet/it's still a tad broken (?). I'm just saying I can see why the staff don't want to introduce such a system. By being able to transfer items between characters, people will most likely donate less (and therefore receive less RP) because they may not need to buy as many items. In some cases I'm sure people have bought the same donor item more than once because it's for different characters.
Assuming that the amount donated by each player is recorded, I was thinking that if they can reward donors with secret cosmetics accessories/clothing OR more royal points when a specific amount of donations is fulfilled; the greater amount reached, the more appealing the rewards will be. This should encourage donors to continue donating. And with this recommended system, it should not decrease the amount of donations the players will be making even if the system of transferring of donor items between characters within the same account is implemented. (But this has to depend on the rewards that we can receive, I suggest creating more stuffs in the donor cash shop, special items can be added especially during big events ~ anniversaries. As for the secret stuffs which we can receive, try to be creative and make the rewards stand out of the ordinaries) Since the rewards are strictly cosmetic and has nothing to do with game equipment and stats, it's still adhering to the policy of not paying to win; I feel that it is a system which they should consider. Ultimately, they can generate more donations to keep this wonderful server going. Good Luck <3 <3 <3
If we can figure out how to get the Cash Shop inventory working properly so that people can trade NX items within their accounts, then we'll implement it. Unfortunately, it's a big "if". As far as I can tell, fixing issues related to Cash items and the Cash Shop are amongst the trickiest things for devs to fix.
would requests for item transfers through the same account be a possible alternative in the mean time?
I think that decision should rest with @Matt and @John. As for my own opinion, while it's not an unreasonable request in theory, in practice it could result in the staff being swamped with a lot of requests to transfer items, which wouldn't really be a practical solution to things. I'd rather we looked into ways to make items account-transferable.
Fair enough I rather have the proper things prioritized anyways, and can definitely see crazy amounts of threads regarding transferring of donor equips. I know almost nothing about coding, but would coding cash shop items to be put in the regular item storage be possible? Sort of how cash shop items are able to be traded or dropped?
