hello, so i have this weird issue that whenever i run royals (talking about one client only) it's taking alot of my gpu. it drops between 5%-50% and after keeping the game on for a few hours it could potentially take 100% gpu and lead my pc to lags and i would have to restart my pc. this causes me problem running two clients because it would add more gpu usage above the 5-50% that it's already taking which makes the game unplayable. was wondering if anyone ever experienced this issue before? is there any possible fix for this? this never happened to me in any other game that i've played this pc. my gpu is rtx 2060 if that matters. thanks all and stay safe
update: i've looked and found that there is a few more posts on the forum on this specific issue, would any of the admins would be able to look into it as this may be a code issue? thank you the other posts that i've found:https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ryz...80-maple-royals-incompatibility-issue.149961/ https://royals.ms/forum/threads/pc-completely-crashes-when-playing.149747/
-> multiclients x6 -> windows 7 -> runs off the GTX980 card via Nvidia control panel -> plays for 3 hours straight without any issue -> gpu loads are low as heck not sure whats going on for your side
If you're here to tell me that the game runs just fine for your pc it doesn't really help me, also im not entirely sure myself whats whats on. Though as you can see in the other forum post that i've listed someone else has the same issue as me and him and both havd Nvidia GPU and AMD CPU and so windows 10. So im tryna figure out what's going on because my pc is completely okay and runs any other game just fine and lets just put it aside that ive only got this pc a month or two ago. Anyways thank you for the reply, first one wthin a week n a half XD
could you see the list of programs running off the GPU? mapleroyals should in essence take a very low amount for modern GPUs cuz its a 15 year old game
It keeps dropping between 9-60% GPU till a few hours later it would just eat up my whole GPU and i'd i'd have to restart my pc because it makes it laggy. And this does not happen with any other game, and if we're talking about a 15years old game this pc have run before another server of maplestory without even taking 7% of my GPU and have never caused my PC to lag. As well as my GPU that should be more than enough for any game that's out as of now in the internet.
I do not know much about all this, but i had asked a few ppl and they were telling me that it may be a code issue that makes my GPU to crash or some thing like this, well im not sure my self. But im here trying to figure out what causes the issue
cant really do anything about the code, and i have not experienced the high GPU usage since i started in 2018 (though my card is just 1 generation older than yours) but is mapleroyals the only thing that is running on your gpu?
While i play mapleroyals i have other things running as well ofc, such as discord or just youtube/Netflix. However when i go to prefomence ans look for mapleroyals it shows that it take the amount of GPU that ive listed in my previous comments which is 9-60%drops.
could you try a clean attempt one day where the only thing running is mapleroyals for a couple of hours lets try to isolate the problem =o
I'll try that, thank you. Well for once i tried closing everything but discord and it was just the same with royals. I'll be trying to close everything and just keep royals open
I have the exact same problem: I can run any other game at max settings, and GPU's temperature remains normal. Royals, however, I have to use my integrated GPU to avoid the issues you mentioned. Hopefully you have one to give it a try.
Thank you for the reply, i did try to disable my graphic cards just to play mapleroyals, however when i tried to open the game it would give me a msg that the game did not deacted any screen. This might actually be the only fix for this
Mind if i ask when did this issue start for you? If it wasn't too long ago and you've used the same gpu since when you started playing it may actually get fixed sometime soon
just try running it with only royals being open only, still same issue. with that being said i think it's probably enough of me trying to play the game like this thank you for all your replies though.
Always been the case, still is. No change whatsoever, same specs as before. You do have an integrated GPU, correct? If that's the case, I assume you properly plugged the cable connecting the monitor to the main GPU into the integrated GPU's port. Then, it should only have something to do with your Windows' "display settings". I hope you find a way to work this one out. Yes, it would only get worse with more than one client open in windowed mode. Definitely not worth burning your GeForce up over a game like this, for sure. I do not have any other solution for you... If switching between your GPUs does not do the trick, and you still feel like playing Royals, you can always try running the game on another computer instead.
i appreciate you trying to help, ive went thru the forums. since im not the only person who has this and it could harm my pc i think im just gonna stop playing for now till it has a fix which probably never gonna happen LOL regardless of that i really appreciate you or anyone who replied on this post. best of luck to yall o/
