Your Character Names: andlck2, andlck Last thing you did: Farming in dragon forest II Why do you think you got banned?: I am not sure Ban message when attempting to log in: This is an ID that has been deleted or blocked from connection. What GM banned you (optional):
Thank you for your time Gert. I have no idea what macro botting is, or what must have happened for this ban to occur. I would appreciate anyone who can look at this issue any further, as this was likely a mistake. I appreciate your help in this matter.
If it helps the investigation at all, I was actively chatting with my friends just before the game logged me out and began giving me the ban message. I have never done anything to gain an unfair advantage in this game, or broken any rules per your terms of service.
You were reported a few days ago for moving around in a robotic fashion in the FM and not responding for minutes on end while you were prompted via whisper, all chat, trade, etc.
I believe I am familiar with the incident you are speaking of, but I did not break any rules, nor did I use any kind of method to gain an unfair advantage. This is the full story as far as I am aware. After a server check, I was able to get a channel 1 FM 1 spot, and many people began to camp my spot. Because I did not set up a hired merchant (I used the regular store permit on my FM mule), people were repeatedly spamming my store with messages, whispering me, and sending invites to try to disconnect me for my spot. I disabled all the invite/communication features on this character while I sold everything I wanted to sell, and then gave my spot to a guildmate. To my knowledge, he did not take my spot from me by botting, but there were other people standing around trying to take my spot. After my guildmate took my FM spot, many people in FM1 were accusing us of botting, and were quite unhappy, but I thought nothing of it because I knew I did nothing wrong. This is the extent in which I was involved with the situation. I left the spot after giving it to my guildmate, and am not aware of what could have happened after relinquishing my spot. I may have been idling with my FM mule in FM for extended periods of time, which may be the reason I was unresponsive, but I was not doing anything on that character while idling. I was likely just multi-clienting and focusing on my other characters. Please let me know if anything needs more clarification.
The only other thing I could think of, is that my character was maybe moving while I was multi-clienting and playing with my other character on a different client. I know many of my friends experience this, and I have in the past, where one of my characters end up in a weird location after I have not looked at that client in a while. I do not know how I would prove this, but that is the only other possibility for any movement in robotic fashion as well as failure to response.
Right, I thought it could have been that well known glitch as well but there are a few inconsistencies in your story. You went on the ladder and were jumping, you can't do that with the glitch. Two, if you had disabled trades, the character who reported you would have gotten the text that you are not taking trades right now (he did not get that).
My initial thought was that the report was referring to the ch1 fm1 spot incident, when other players thought my guildmate and I were botting. That was when I had my communications disabled, to prevent being disconnected from d/c hackers and other botters. This is the incident I tried to explain in my first response, and occurred probably about a week ago, between the last two service checks. After I gave my spot away, I did enable my trade requests, etc. because I have been making transactions on that account since then. So that brings us to the last few days, which is when you said the report occurred. Now I am genuinely confused as to what was happening that made my fm mule jump and go on ladders. Is there any way too check the logs to confirm that I was playing on my other characters at the time of the reporting? I do nothing but open stores and store items on that mule, and I have no idea what could have led to that behavior. I have never downloaded any third party softwares or programmed anything to modify the gameplay in anyway.
Has there been any updates to my case? I don't know what else I could do to prove that I have never used any type of method to "bot" or gain any unfair advantage in this game. I look forward to hearing from you and having this issue resolved.
I understand you guys must be very busy, but are there any updates to my ban status? It is quickly approaching a week since receiving the ban, and I am still quite clueless on what warranted it. Thank you guys for your time.
Unfortunately Gert explained it really well. We thought it was a case of multi clienting and accidentally having a client open, however your explanation and this video have a lot of inconsistencies.
Thank you for your response. Am I supposed to be able to see a video you are referring to? If you posted something, I cannot seem to see it on my end. I know you guys don't typically share evidence or proof, but I must say I am extremely curious to see what warranted the ban. Although I do not know what else to say or do to make my case that I had no association with botting or any kind of third party program, I understand the rules thoroughly. In the event you guys do suspect someone of botting, wouldn't the first offense only result in a 7-day ban? If my character was indeed "moving around in a robotic fashion in the FM," I couldn't imagine much harm being done to the community or gameplay in comparison to the other cases of botting in hunting maps that I see posted. I would greatly appreciate a reduction in the ban time.
Is there absolutely no way of having this ban reduced or reconsidered? I am willing to do whatever it takes to prove that I did not break the rules, or have any kind of macro/botting software. I will make sure to be more alert if I am multi-clienting and be responsive to other players or GMs. I will try my best to prevent something like this from happening again. I have put in a lot of time and effort into this game, and I just want to play again with the wonderful friends I made through royals. I ask you guys to kindly reconsider this permanent ban. Thank you.
You were also moving around in El Nath and not just the FM. The player who reported you did /find and you went from El Nath to the Market, to the Entrance of the FM to FM 1 and you still wouldn't respond to their whispers.
I honestly have no idea what you are referring to because I have never used any software, legal or illegal, to take advantage of the game. If you guys are aware of anything else that makes my character perform such actions while I'm not actively playing, I am genuinely curious to know. On an important note, if you guys are referring to my FM mule ANDLCK (level 39 assassin) doing all these things, there is no way he could have been in El Nath. ANDLCK has been in Ludibrium for quite some time since I made him an FM mule, and you guys can probably see on your end that he did not travel to El Nath near the time of the report. If you are referring to ANDLCK2 or ANDLLLCK, those characters have been actively played by me for a few weeks leading up to my ban, and accordingly could not have been "botted." I’m so confused and frustrated about the whole situation because I have been wrongfully and unfairly banned for something I have no knowledge of doing. As time passes, I'm becoming increasingly certain that there must have been a mistake somewhere. I don't think anyone guilty of botting would be trying this hard to get his account back. I worked hard for everything playing by the rules, and most importantly, I enjoy the community and want to play with my friends again. Please let me know if there are more details I can share on my end to help this case. I look forward to your response.
andlck2 was the one in El Nath and then the FM. andlck was in FM-1 and not responding. You'd be surprised at the type of people that there are out there. Do you remember what you were doing on andlck2 in El Nath?
I am sure there are all types of people in this world. For what it's worth, I assure you that I would never do anything to take advantage of the game in any way, nor am I aware of any method of doing this. At my age, I also see no reason to lie and expend so much time and effort in getting my account back, had I not played this game honestly. I have been trying to patiently wait for your responses in hopes that you guys reconsider the permanent ban because I do care about all the work and time I put into this game. If it was andlck2 the bishop that was reported, then I have to say that I was 100% active and paying attention to what I was doing. This makes it all the more difficult to believe that I would have ignored or not responded to any other player while I was performing those actions. As anyone I know from the game would be able to tell you, I am very active and responsive in the game, unless I am afk or distracted by other messages, and I would never knowingly ignore people trying to reach out to me. If my bishop was in El Nath, the only things I remember doing around that time would be either Zakum runs or farming for zombie teeth. It is now close to 2 weeks from when the report occurred according to your response, and I apologize if I am not remembering the details correctly. If these events happened in or around FM1, and my mule (andlck) was also in FM1, then I am inclined to believe it had to do something with the event I originally mentioned regarding my FM1 spot. After I gave my FM1 spot to my guildmate, I wanted to lend it to another friend and tried to take it back from him with my hired merchant. But when I approached the spot with my bishop (andlck2) to switch with my guildmate, many other players crowded around that spot, and I could not take it back from him. If I recall correctly, I left shortly after that and could not get my spot back from him before the next service check happened. If this is the correct event that I am remembering, I was actively whispering or private chatting with my guildmate, which I hope you guys would have a record of. If you could share any more knowledge of what was happening, maybe it would help me remember additional details that could help my case. I may have been unresponsive at the time to whoever was reaching out to me, but there is no way I was botting or doing anything illegal on my bishop. If there is any way of looking at what I was doing or who I was talking to before, after, or during the reported event, I am certain there would be evidence that I was not botting and merely unresponsive to these players that reported me. I appreciate your time and hope to get this issue resolved.
