After graduating from Tertiary Physical Rehab, I am FINALLY on my SECOND MONTH of working FULL TIME! I use to only be able to work 10 hours per week, so this is HUGE for me.
I BB not PL but I'd say my numbers are pretty good. 165lbs/74KG hitting 325/147KG, 495/224kg, 545/247kg on Bench, Squat, DL respectively.
I posted the above in Jan 2020. Got laid off in April 2020 because my company had some issues exacerbated by the COVID-19 pandemic and decided to take a 'last one in, first one out' approach to laying people off. I don't feel bad about that but what I do feel bad is that I was the only one who got laid off lmao. And it wasn't like I was lazy there, I was actually working and making sure that I was doing a good job there. So even in those dire economic circumstances, I felt bad about getting laid off. It was unfair The silver lining if any was that I was given 3 weeks notice before getting laid off. In those three weeks, I applied for fresh graduate jobs like a dog. At the time, I felt anxious of course because I had graduated last year and was competing with this year's graduates for entry-level jobs. But I also felt confident because i had a good cover letter and decent resume since I did many relevant internships whilst in school. In those three weeks, I had two zoom interviews..... and then..... I received a job offer from my first interview I started my new job literally the week after leaving, which meant that there was no break in between jobs. #reallifeaccomplishment This was a blessing in disguise because this new job is sooo much better and is at a bigger company!! Why am i posting this here? Well, first of all I can't still meet my friends because my country still has COVID-19 measures going on, and secondly I need some place to boast about this lol. I got to say though that I feel bad for writing this like one of those crappy-inspirational linkedin posts
Ain't got a fancy degree to brag about but I've been free of hard drugs for a year in a week and a half from now. Puts life in a new perspective
Not recent, but I stopped playing online casino. Lost wayy too much money and I somehow managed to stop playing online casino now. Only live table games if im bored.
Haven't been playing lately due to some real life things. I'm moving to a different state and I had to go check out places and pick one, sign paperwork and the like and you know the drill. Today is a major milestone because I sold a car in preparation for the move. It's one less major stressor on my hand and now I can focus on other things. It's good to cross things off the list.
Finally managed to get on inflliximab and start proper treatment for my Crohn's. Can finally start eating again and working out to put on weight after so long. Any other Crohnies on royals?
Finished my master thesis on the effects of thermal energy on ferrous metals behavior under certain force loads! Paid way too much for a professional proof reader HAHAHA
About a week away from my final year of graduate school; with the covid delays in academia, I'm still on track to finish a semester early!
Just like some others here, I recently just graduated with my bachelors degree. However, due to Covid-19, I wasn't able to find a job (yet). A few weeks pass, and one of my professors who I would talk to on the daily whenever I saw her on campus, texted me saying she could hook me up with a temporary job in the time being! Other than that, I've basically become a tutor for high school and college students in certain subjects . Most surprising part was that I was getting paid way more than I anticipated.
