As you all know, Mom and Dad is inaccessible for islanders, and the Thanksgiving Turkey is unobtainable due to the amount of work needed to get to level 30 in order to bake a pie for the guild and the small amount of islanders. I think the guild Amherst deserves at least the chair for islanders above level 25, and potentially even the Pilgrim Hat. Opinions?

While I think it's true islanders were not the main audience of the event, I don't think events should be changed this late around to accomodate your needs.

I'm an islander too, and I am creative/liberate enough to swap guilds freely. I wouldn't want to see Pilgrim hats on the island, but that's a personal thing.

I don't think the thanksgiving event should be modified, but I do believe we islanders should be more creatively included in future events. Especially since events are the only time we see several people online at once. The month of November was pretty much dead compared to October.

It doesn't have to be modified, and like I said, the Pilgrim hat isn't really necessary as most players would have very high chance if not 100% of killing all mobs on maple island in one hit by then. The chair would be nice if any 25+ islanders would be able to receive it. As 25+ means genuine islanders and not someone who just became an islander for a day for the chair.

With Choks help we are working to include islanders in events in fair ways for them. Many guilds have not reached the goal of 500 pies, even many active guilds. I think we averaged it out to needing about 30 pies per day from the day we changed it for a guild to reach 500.
I think it would be unfair to other guilds just as small / inactive (if that's the right term) if only islanders were rewarded the chair despite not hitting the goal. The last time we modified an event to be "easier" for islanders, some felt it unfair as if we were spoonfeeding or babysitting them. Islanders chose to be such knowing the challenge.
However we are working to creatively include them in future events without just dumbing it down for them.

That sounds great! I understand that it would be unfair to other guilds, but instead of giving it to all islanders, maybe give it to level 40+ or just Chok? I think at least they should receive the chair, just a personal opinion. Because there is quite the difference between a mage using map-wipe attacks vs a beginner attacking with a regular weapon on 105% speed and 107% jump.

To be honest, we should be happy that islanders are even included in these events. Events have traditionally been much more work for islanders, so count leveling to 30 to pie as part of that. It really doesn't take that much time either, compared to the hours a lot of us put in for the Halloween and Anniversary event.

For the pies there really was no benefit to being a 4th job mage. The ingredients were untradeable and one of a kind so its not like you could hoard them.

Yep, I totally understood that part, I know that it's about how many level 30s and how active you are at getting the ingredients and cashing it in for pies. Just a note i'm sure we're all aware of for future events ^_^

Tbh, I think it's ridiculous the event is changed when it already has expired. I've made my measurments (even left Amherst temporarily) to ensure I get the most of the event I can.
But now suddenly the rules are being changed, I hope this doesn't mean I fall out of any boats. Certainly when I missed about 10 pies simply because Grandma Benson wasn't spawned at Amherst...

Changing the event to the 'make 500 pies in a month' killed the event. When suddenly the end was near, I saw a major leap by a lot of guilds at the end of the event. Similar to that of the start. The midterm was basically dead because there was no pressure to bake pies, and everyone is a little procastinator.

In short, everyone knew the event setup, changing the rules after an event has passed just feeds the voice of spoonfeeding.

I can see a problem for only one person, Chokladkakan. As Chok doesn't have the liberty to leave Amherst, it's impossible to get the 500 pie goal.

You misunderstood me. The event is not being changed I was referring to future events.

Since you made it small, i'll make it big instead. ^_^ Like I said, at least he deserves the chair.

I don't think the Turkeys would have been a realistic prospect on the Island. While I'm sure some of the higher level Islanders could one-hit them, they are evil little sods if you can't one-hit them. I'm not sure if they've got really annoying invincibility frames or a really limited hit box, but if you don't kill one in one hit, it's really hard to hit them a second time, and not just because they're kb-ing you with an obnoxious magic attack.

Hahahah I really like the way you worded that comment. Maybe put them only in one map where islanders can access them if they wanted >.< Like the map with the Pet Food dude.
