Hi, I think Hero's Will can use an adjustment on its MP usage, or HT's drain effect. Currently, Hero's Will costs 30 MP and most classes MP recovery is somewhere 10~15 MP/10s. When sed happens right after you get drained, you have to hope that you have at least 30 MP so you can use Hero's Will. Some suggestions I have that will help are: - Reduce MP cost to 0 or 10 - Make pet auto MP activate when drained What's more annoying is not being able to use Will when you're sealed
Pet auto-mp already does activate when HT uses mana burn. If you're seduced immediately, you can't use any pots though. This is a designed challenge of the boss.
Are you a warrior or thief? I usually notice this problem with my friends who play those classes. My archer has 4k hp and after one mp im still left with mana so I still have the option to will out of sed. Something you can do is will right away the moment you get sed. I feel like very rare that you get sed and mp drained at the exact same time.
I don't think it activates unless you use a skill which takes you under MP alert threshold as you can get the the "Not enough MP to use skill" message when you're drained. It's a mechanic of the boss, but it sucks that you unlock a skill you can't use Yeah, it sucks for low MP classes and yeah, it can't happen exactly at the same time cause it'll be mid animation. You'll have to a chance to spam your mp pot after the drain before the sed.
It doesn’t activate with mana burn/drain as OP mentioned. I’ve spammed ACP many times thinking I’ve been sealed when I’ve actually been drained without autopot activating :’) This effect is seen most obviously on bishops when only arms are left in HT - I have stood there, done nothing and subsequently died on my bishop because HT has managed to drain my mp down to 0 without autopot activating.
I watch my MP get drained and auto-potted literally hundreds of times during any given HT run both on NL and bishop. I rarely if ever have to manually MP pot. It's possible that if you use a skill at the same time as you get mana burned/drained, the auto-pot doesn't activate (because as we know, using a skill at the exact same time negates any auto-potting).
You need over 30 mp to successfully cast it With exactly 30 it just does this (Unless this bug got fixed but I don’t remember hearing anything about it)
Auto mp pot doesn't work if your character stands there doing nothing. But if you're actively casting skills while MP drain happens it should work. For me it always happens on my NL when I switch clients to manage another char. I come back to my NL with 0 mp and have to manual pot.
Personally, I’ve never viewed Hero’s will as a fail-safe for seduce, since it is quite unreliable with seal and MP drain as you have mentioned. I don’t see this as a problem though because there is sufficient counter-play already in the form of bishop heal (+ sed and dispel timers), and smokescreeen + rope if shadower. I do play shadower though which can sed pretty easily, so I might be biased.
Being able to use HW in dark sight would be nice. That's a potential run killer and shads pop in and out of ds constantly. Even with mg it's still uniquely dangerous situation because even if you are able to use HW, or need to, you're unable to. If your mg or hp is low, it's uncontrollable wheras any other class could will out of this same situation, you're locked. Bs can heal us if they aren't dead or dcd or sed themselves, and mg is amazing but despite it being a gimmicky situation it's still dangerous for us because we are in ds so often because of assassinate
YAH BUT I have a hotkey for hw. Do you manually click skills to use them lol? I see no reason it shouldn't work since we're on the topic
Not being able to cast skills in dark sight is simply how the game works. I see no reason why it should be changed when it is consistent with all other skills (except for assassinate obviously).
Moving to archived, since there is a more recent thread: Removing Mana Cost for Hero's Will Your feedback is still taken into account though, so if there are future changes this will be moved accordingly.
