Unable to reinstall MapleRoyals

I spent hours trying to reinstall the game because I was experiencing constant disconnection problem. The download provided on this site was of no use at all. There were 2 options applicable for me as I'm using windows xp, one which is the Maplestory Set-up that is 1.38GB big while the other is the windows client which was just 7.54 MB big. It is seemingly pointless for me to download both as the appropriate wz files and dll necessary were not included for me to successfully activate the game. I don't know what else to do because I have completely removed every trace of the files which were still with me for me to run MapleRoyals. Perhaps I shouldn't have done that because right now I'm having a really hard time retrieving all the bits of data required to play the game. Sigh....

 

Try reinstall the setup and using that setup, replace your individual WZ files with those of the Christmas Patch.

I've sort of tried every possible means and options provided but to no avail. Downloaded files from the link but still not able to obtain the essentials to start playing again. I've got the ''MapleRoyals Setup 12-10-14'' icon but when every time I try to begin an installation process using it, it would end up giving me 3 different options. However the options which were to 'modify, repair and remove'' took no effect at all after clicking any one of them. It would lead me to click finish and that's the end of story with an outcome of nothing. I guess all hope is lost for me then. Goodbye game, I'll be missing you. =(

I've got problem with my setup too. I get an error when I run it :/

 

Both of you need to disable your antivirus and try again without it running. Let me know if that helps

Seriously, why don't you guys just make an SFX using winrar? It has an option to request admin priveleges AND has an option to create shortcuts for you. You can pick a GUI SFX or console SFX(pops a black window that dissapears (no user input)). No need for making an installer package for a couple of files and 1-2 shortcuts.
(since so many people have issues with it now and before with admin privs.)

Heck for each patch why don't you make another SFX using winrar that replaces all the old files?

I'll make a video guide if you really need it. maybe if I feel like it I'll hook up my win7 and test it on there to see how the admin privs work out if needed. but usually my promises cut short unfortunately.

 

OK, good news is that I am able to start running MapleRoyals again because I actually have the required files to run the game in one of the Nexon folders that I had fortunately found. However, I'm still unable to play my character because I would immediately disconnect every time I try to log on both of my characters regardless of which channel I choose.

None of the wz files or yellow folders from http://royals.ms/downloads/wz/ were of any use at all since I've already downloaded all of them and combine them with all the fundamental files. They come in the so called ''Compress (zipped) Folders'' which cannot be open at all. If I were to remove any of the old .wz files from my MapleRoyals folder, I will not be able to run the game at all. I cannot place the .wz files such as Sound.wz into the Sound folder either. Please, help me out with this anyone.. =(

 

I need assistance as my main character is still stuck in a map at New Leaf City. I keep on disconnecting with an error message. I believe I am not the only person experiencing this problem. I've downloaded the latest WZ files/folders from the above website as I mentioned but they were of no use. There really is nothing else I can do. I can create a new character however and I'm currently residing in Maple Island, please buddy me, my in game name is Ebenzer and I would like to request someone with experience to contact me please..
