Persistence and level of aggression are two major factors - constant harassment over a long period of time will likely qualify a player as having broken this rule, or alternatively a strongly objectionable statement or group of statements over a short period of time. Persistent mass defamation will be considered three or more defames by an individual and may also include asking, paying, or otherwise incentivizing other players to defame another individual. Be aware that the use of certain words, and any variation on them, will result in a ban, if they were uttered in a public space (defined as: all chat, megaphones, omok games, hired merchants, stores, chalkboards, etc.), regardless of whether or not they were used in a targeted manner. In private spaces (defined as: party chat, buddy chat, guild chat, alliance chat, spouse chat, whisper) these terms will be considered a bannable offence only if used in a targetted manner and the target files a report. You broke the MapleRoyals Terms of Service by mass defaming and by disrupting the gameplay of the person who you interacted with in the Free Market. You seem aware of the situation that lead to this. However, you went about it the wrong way. If this person did steal your spot, you should make a report with the evidence of this act. It is what you should have done instead of retaliating the way you did. You received a 10-day ban for your acts, strike one (3-days) for Mass Defamation and strike two (7-days) for Disruptive Gameplay/Harassment.
I wasn't clear with my explanation above about spot stealing, so let me clarify. Taking another person's spot in the free market is not a bannable offense. This happens all the time, especially in the 1-1 to 1-6 rooms on channel one. Spot stealing only becomes an issue if the spot was taken by someone using illegitimate methods, such as with a script.
You are twisting what I said. There is competition for the spots in the free market, yes, this is going to happen, especially on channel one. However, your reasoning for why you have the "right" to take that spot back is flawed. Going after specific spots that specific people currently occupy is still considered harassment. You saying "She stole it first, so I am going to steal it back" is not the way to solve this. That is not "your spot". It is everyone and anyone's spot. If you are going to go after her spot specifically because it is her spot, specifically because she holds that spot, that is not allowed either. You are targeting her, which is harassment. If your behavior doesn't change after your 10-day ban is up, you will be punished again. Please reconsider what you are saying and what you are planning to do once your ban expires.
