So to preface I will say I haven't played pre big bang MS since well... pre big bang. This is my first private server (I've played a bit of modern MS). I just hit thirty and did my second job change (Cleric) but I am totally lost right now. So I have a few questions I think will help me out a lot. 1. Every leveling guide I find says to do CPQ and but idk where that is. Where is CPQ? 2. This goes a long with number 1, but where is the ship that you can travel to different continents (ludi/orbis/etc.) 3. Does the old school FM still exist (like where you setup your own little shops and people walk around looking at them and buying them) and if not how do I go about selling some of the stuff I've found (and even price checking it)? I think this information will be enough to get me rolling far enough before I have more questions lol. Thanks in advanced for any help
Welcome to the server! I'll try to help you out a bit. You can enter CPQ by talking with Spiegelmann. He can be found in Kerning, Orbis, and Ludibrium. To leave Victoria Island you will need to head to Ellinia, go through the portal at the top right of the town and buy a ticket there. The old school FM is still available at all of the towns, just need to look out for the free market signs around. For getting prices for items there are different ways to do so. You can follow a guide made by players, you'd need to look around the forums to find them. You can also go individually through the Free Market and look for similar items and what the current prices are. Also, you can buy and use an Owl from Albert in Free market and search for the item you want to price check. The owls do cost mesos so might not be the best idea as a new player.
1. CPQ is from NPC called Spiegelman (spelling check) He is preset in Kerning (left side), Orbis (centeer-ish), Ludi (center on clock tower in town). He is in 3 towns that I know of. You just have to talk to him to go inside. Go to CH1 and hope you find a party to join or group of people to trade wins with. CPQ1 is from LVL 30-50 (inclusive), CPQ2 is from lvl 51-70 (inclusive). CPQ2 is less popular these days due to the recent changes made to the spawn in CPQ2, but CPQ1 is more hit or miss, you just have to find people. CPQ = Carnival PQ, basically you will go in a party of 2 against another party of 2 and kill the monsters inside to get the most points (this is typically referred to as 2v2, there are 3v3 rooms as well though). You do not use your own pots, as pots will drop from the mobs inside CPQ and are instant use (If you pick up a power elixer its instantly used). You Trade wins with the other group. Means if your team wins 1st round, you need to make sure in the next round the other team wins. This is because the winner gets more BONUS exp which is rewarded at the end of each round to both losers and winners. Each round is 10 minutes and you win depending on how many mobs = points you have tallied up in those 10 minutes (shown in window on top left corner for team blue vs. team red). There are also leech services you can buy from other players if you use (typically 750K per every 1K points collected, good leechers can give you up to 3K points to round). I was able to get leeched in 1.5hours and earn 11 levels, with me doing nothing. If you are not buying leech though, you are expected to help ur partner(s) kill mobs and to also summon monsters/spells for your opposing team (You scratch their back, they scratch yours). Its very much honor system. 2. Ship to go from Victoria Island to Orbis is in Ellinia. Top right should have a portal into the docking station map. From Orbis you can get to LUDI and etc. 3. Old school FM still exists and we can buy the little shops to setup and sell items form cash shop. If you vote every day (once per account), you get 8K NX that you can use to buy things from cash shop like the store for FM. There are some items which you can use mesos to buy from Alfred(Albert??) in FM, he sits on a platform just a bit top right of the door in FM. He sells Teleport rocks, owls, smegaphones, fast past tickets (you can buy these in 1day,7day,14 day durations so that you dont have to wait for every ship, especially useful when you start bossing since its more cost efficent than teleport rock if you travel alot)
