I only get a little while to play at a time and haven't played OG maple since the day of the disastrous big bang update, so my memory of those days are rather vague. However, I have been loving this recreation as it matches what I remember pretty well, but as I only have a limited time to play on random occasions there are some QOL changes I personally would love added to the game which I will list below. I understand that you have no obligations to input these requests and won't be upset if this gets ignored but still wanted to get my two hay pennies worth of input out there. I have also noticed some issues that I am unsure if they are planned or bugs so I will list them towards the bottom of this post. Suggestions - reasons: 1. Allowing any item to be assigned to key bindings or having an option to track how many of selected items have been collected. - There are many occasions when I am playing that I run across an item I want to collect multiple of that aren't tracked by missions, such as christmas gifts, snail shells when starting a new character, specific crafting materials, etc. So having a way to track the number I have collected without having to lose screen space by leaving my inventory open would be a godsend. 2. A purchasable item or an item given to all new characters on Noob Island that lists all jobs, from first to third with detailed information on the stats required to progress through each job advancement and the skills each class has and the total number of points you will have to assign in that class rank. - I am not sure if I am the only one who likes to try out each class, but I do know I have a terrible memory and frequently forget what stats I need to keep track of when I start a new character to progress through a specific class tree. So having a book or other source of information on noob island that give full detailed information about each class, their skills, and the minimum stats needed to progress from rank one to rank three would make it easier for people like me to plan out their characters builds. And if it is limited to Noob Island then it gives us a chance to figure out what we want to do, but will make it to where we have to memorize the important stuff to us and figure out the rest as we go. Otherwise, if there is a source in the forums that I am unaware of then maybe a link could be added to the main homepage for this site and the game itself that takes us to the page in the forums with that info. 3. Can we please reduce the pixel perfect nature of jump quests? - I am slightly better than average at jump quests. I know this as I have always been the only person in my OG MMO play groups that actually completed every jump quest I came across that didn't require pixel perfect jumps. My systems have always be worse then mediocre by current standards. Even now I have a pretty annoying input lag between pressing a button and having my character perform an action. Normally this isn't an issue as I can always just hold buttons for a few extra moments or tap it several times until the action I need done is completed. However, neither of these options apply when pixel perfect actions are needed. That doesn't mean it is exactly impossible as I was able to brute force my way to the top of the pet area jump quest, but it was nothing more than sheer dumb luck and had nothing to do with skill. I am not asking to make the jump quests so easy that there is no skill needed, just move the platforms that need pixel perfect jumps two or three pixels closer so that there is a little room for those of us with input lag to still be able to complete them with skill and not just pure dumb luck or enough obstinance to sink a ship with nothing more than an irate finger poking... 4. This isn't so much a suggestion for the game, but a request for the forums. Can we get something that lists drops and drop rates along with where different monsters are located? - This is also linked to my limited time for gameplay as I would love to find places with items that I actually want, or find relatively decent areas to grind. Unfortunately I just don't have the time I used to have to explore and find these areas through the joy of trial and error. So it would be helpful if I could look up creatures by level range, or item drops to narrow down the areas that might be best to train or that will have something I need/want. 5. Dummy characters for solo playthroughs of PQ's. - I know the point of party quests is to get to know people and join hands to try to solve the puzzles. The problem with this is that PQ's aren't really beneficial for the people I am meeting and though they are usually still willing to help for a little while it is never long enough to truly be useful. Of course there is also the option to just control a full group myself through 4 games, but that gets really tedious and annoying really fast. So I was thinking that maybe we could get some NPC like characters that auto spawn in if we enter a PQ solo that we have to tell what to do. I will use the kerning city PQ for an example here to explain my idea on how they could work. Room 1, the npc's just stand next to the entrance to the next zone with the clue for the number of cards they need constantly above their head. To pass the solo player would have to collect the cards needed for each NPC and themselves before entering the gate. Stage two (the vines I think...) The NPC's stand next to the entrance, the player then clicks on once of the NPC's initiating a dialogue where they can choose which vine that NPC goes to. Then repeat for all three NPC until puzzle is solved and they can move to challenge 3. Challenge 3 (barrels?) same as the vines, but NPC's start next to exit to next stage for player convenience. Then at the final battle the player can choose to either fight solo or have the NPC's join in. If solo they can get extra EXP and slightly higher chance of better rewards, if with NPC then the rewards are the same as if they were there with a full party. Rince and repeat as applicable for each PQ. 6.Can we get a setting to disable the quest bulb above the players head? - I am both OCD and mildly autistic, so having flashing or otherwise obviously out of place things can drive me insane rather quickly. So when I see exclamation marks, light bulbs, or red dots that indicate that something needs to be addressed I have to open it ASAP to see what is going on. Now this might not be a big deal to other people, but to me it is really inconvenient. Especially when I want to complete every quest I accept, but the game forces quests onto me through a light bulb that appears above my head every time I abandon it. So if possible I would love a setting that disables that lightbulb so that those who like it can keep enjoying it's convenience and those that are crazy like me can disable it and can find quests organically and only accept quests that we actually can and want to complete. Issues I have had that may or may not be intended: 1. Multiple pet baby dragons with dragon soul equips only allows two dragons to have the dragon soul equips visible. The third one shows it as equipped, but it is red in the equip screen and doesn't show on the dragon sprite. 2. Multiple pets disappear when I log out or enter the pet shop forcing me to spawn them every time I exit the cash shop or log into my character. 3. Only able to feed one pet when having multiple pets spawned. despite having 3 pets, only the "alpha" pet is fed when using pet food.
On issue 2: When you let out your pets and the screen pops up, press escape. This should fix it. Not sure about 3, but might fix this as well.
