Hey i have been interested to try using my controller with maple story and got it set up with JoyTokey (with a guide from the MapleRoyals forums) every thing works fine but JoyToKey is not programmed to emulate "press and hold" like the keyboard. meaning if i press a button and hold it the skill will trigger once and i need to release and press it again to activate it a second time. this can be fixed by using the "auto repeat" option but i am not sure if it is allowed . i saw a few posts about saying it is ok as long as the commend is 1:1 or not binding a few commends to 1 button but i dont quite understand what does that mean ... i will post a picture of what i want to do before trying it ingame and i hope some 1 can give me an answer . Much Love (this server is great <3) Edit: for some reason i cant upload a so i will explain : "auto repeat : 10 times per second" implying to pressing the "Shift" button assagined to a skill REASULT: as long as i keep the button pressed it repeats the process of pressings it again(as if i am pressing this key on my keyboard a number of times) and as soon as i release it it stops. it just seems as the game could think this is an auto clicker which is not allowed .
Copy-pasta from https://royals.ms/forum/threads/is-...th-a-controller-bannable.207090/#post-1269921 You can refer to here for more clarification. Should be fine as long as holding the controller button down mimics the same action and frequency as holding the corresponding key down on a default keyboard (e.g. walking, jumping, looting items, using skills). Feel free to ask about any actions you're unsure about .
