tl;dr: just read the title. I was part of a CWK run yesterday where one party member had accused another of attempting to "loot swap" in the bonus room of the first run. It stemmed from a probably well-intentioned, but unnecessary attempt by the other party member to assist. I really doubt loot swapping was the intention, but nothing was going to convince the accuser otherwise. So the accuser continued to pursue the issue well into the second run - forcing the whole party to listen to drama while the run proceeded at snail pace. We were all even held hostage until there was just 1 minute left on the clock for the fifth adventurer to pass through the portal at the top of the pillar jump quest, as he stood at the top and threatened to sabotage the run unless the accused gave him an "adult" apology. Now obviously I'm not going to run with him again, but it got me thinking. The whole situation could have been prevented if the notice saying xxxxxxx has picked up an Elemental Staff 7, also made it possible to click on the words "Elemental Staff 7" and see the stats of it. That way, the accuser could have seen the stats of their shitty staff, and ensured that the accused returned the correct Elemental Staff 7. And my CWK run yesterday would not have been ruined, because there no longer would have been anything to fight and bicker over! Not sure how difficult this is to do (maybe non-smega messages are quite different in the code?). But figured I'd suggest it and see what others and the devs think. Apparently loot swapping is a concern for some bosses too, and can make others nervous to trust randoms.
This is difficult to do. Developers looked into it before and will do again sometime in the future as it is a feature we'd like to implement as well.
