Advice for a returning player :)

Hello maplers,

I'm returning to the game after almost a year and I'm starting a new player. I'm hesitating between 2 jobs, DK or SHADOWER.

i have some int gear (80) and my plan is do some wash and get hp form hp quests.

I know fun is a subjective matter, but from your experience, who is more fun and better in BOSS and MOB?

I would like to know the PROS and CONS of each of them and which one do you think is better main and why.

drk main here. drks mob better, shads are better. make a shad lol

 

Shad is pretty shit at mobbing (well, solo moving, when you got a warrior to rush everything to you your DPS is good).
Drk is not as wanted in most bosses.
Basically I think the summery is:
Drk - cheap to fund, require little to no wash, best class in game for mobbing, OP 3rd job, ok at some bosses and not good in others. Best class for cwk
Shad - very expensive to wash, require quite a bit of hp washing (or questing), good mobbing a party, really solid single target DPS, wanted in every content in the game. 3rd job is bad unless you gonna meso bomb bigfoots.

Basically shad is better and expensive

What do you think about SHAD not funded but I intend to do all the HP missions and I wanted to know if it is a main player that I can build myself up slowly but still do all the content in the game even with not the best equipment (lhc,cwk,rg,zak,ht,neo) I know that some of the content is END GAME but still asking.

drk is really not welcome in all bosses except CWK, LHC, RG even if you full zerk controlling?

 

My first 200 was DrK, its a very fun and strong class that is fairly easy to play as a new player - u dont need to hp wash and the equips are reasonably priced. DrK is very good in Horntail but there are so many shads and buccs that DrK are just not needed anymore, back then it was ez to find HT as DrK but today is different. Toad is possible but demands you to be extremely focused and attentive to its attacks in 2nd body. i didnt play neo tokyo with DrK too much but im pretty sure its sucks there, dunases and auf i think its not possible/very annoying and if im wrong some1 correct me, but i would say neo tokyo is overrated af right now. DrKs are wanted in Von Leon which is very important cuz its the best boss royals has to offer and as a DrK you will be wanted always.

I would suggest start as DrK, you can do most of the bosses and save money for shad since that class requires a lot of funds on hp wash alone..
