UPDATE: We found another comp and bought it.

My husband (who is not remotely the techy type) wants to buy a Windows 7 PC and I spotted this one on Amazon:

    http://www.amazon.co.uk/Zoostorm-7877-0095-Premium-i5-3330-Windows/dp/B006ZINMP6/

Now those specifications look pretty decent to me (not excited about the graphics card, but that can be easily replaced), but I've never heard of Zoostorm. Does anyone know of any major issues with Zoostorm PCs or is there anything in the specs of this particular model that stand out as crap?

Btw, Windows 8 isn't really an option, as his workplace uses Windows 7, as does the person he turns to for advice every time there's a problem, ie me! =)

Edit: found one problem - looks like it needs a wireless card.

Cannot tell you if Zoostorm is a good brand/company to buy from however I find their description of the computer could be better. They do not seem to mention the type of motherboard or the brand of the HDD. This might be a suitable alternative:

    Compared to the Zoostorm:

    Pros:
    • Good value.
    • Pretty much the same integrated graphics specs.
    • Integrated WiFi
    • HDMI port.
    • 2x USB 3.0 ports. (Not specified on Zoostorm)
    • Good brand HDD. (Not specified on Zoostorm)
    • Faster RAM type.

    Cons:
    • 512GB HDD instead of 1024GB HDD.
    • 2 core processor (3.6ghz) instead of 4 core (3ghz).
    • No keyboard and mouse included.
    • eBay (Not sure if that is a problem.)
    • Shipped from Germany - but free postage.

Pretty sure they have other good priced desktops though. Maybe one of those may also be good.

Thanks very much for the advice Matt! Yes, it does look good, but unfortunately, your advice just came minutes after we'd found a different Zoostorm WITH Wifi and ordered it!
