The answer is always yes. But. I used to be a seasoned Mapler and recent nostalgia has led me to this server. I love it and definitely want to invest more time into it. However, I keep seeing the concept of HP washing and for whatever reason, it baffles and confuses me. The basic concept seems easy enough but the math... math is hard. On top of that, I don't typically make much money and am slowly learning market trades. So I have a few questions: -Is HP Washing entirely necessary? (AKA, is it the meta?) -If so, for which classes is it most important? -What is the cheapest way to go about getting started? (Asking because I am also CLUELESS market-wise) -Are you shunned/left out if you don't HP wash? Asking for future 10x me because I do want to have these late game experiences I never got to have in old school GMS. Thanks in advance for any insight and advice. Hopefully I can get the hang of this concept but for now, I need it in baby steps.
-Is HP Washing entirely necessary? (AKA, is it the meta?) If you plan to do most bosses, yes. -If so, for which classes is it most important? Most important on ranged classes because of their low natural hp gain. -What is the cheapest way to go about getting started? (Asking because I am also CLUELESS market-wise) Pick warrior class. Buy cheap int gear like bathrobe, wand, helmet, cape, shield, and you're set. In case they aren't enough, you can offset the additional gear cost by adding base INT and using your daily 8K NX to get APR to reset them in the future. -Are you shunned/left out if you don't HP wash? In most end game bosses like Toad and HT, most likely.
