Analysis of Reul's HP Quest and other HP Sources

I did a little analysis of Reul's HP Quest and other HP Sources in the game a while back, but never got to publish it.
So here it is.

You can take a look at 4 diffrent stages of Levels (120/155/175/200).

Some Infos on my calculations:
1. I didnt add any Base INT because that basically just means less HP Quests till it turns daily.
2. As for INT Gear i chose 36 as thats probably easy to achieve without needing acutal INT Gear.
3. INT Gear is facorted in at lvl 50+.
4. HP/MP values are from Shiyui's calculator.
5. I didnt really touch mages so far.
6. I hope i didnt fk up my maths.

Things i realized:
1. Pally and DK can only do Reul's HP Quest 5 times max till it turns daily even on lvl 120.
2. The daily limit for all warriors for Reul's HP Quest will be reached before lvl 155 just by natrual MP Gain that "needs" to be washed out.
3. The earlier you do Reul's Quest the better if you dont want it to turn daily, because you will have less MP that "needs" to be washed out.
4. With all HP Washing alternatives Thiefs/Archers can achieve 13k, Sairs 13.5k, Buccs 18.5k and Warriors 27k HP by lvl 175.

I didnt put this on the feedback section on purpose because i dont have a 100% bullet proof solution myself. Im just here for a good discussion that could hopefully lead us somewhere.

My Opinion:
Read this with caution as its very controversial!

I dont like the concept of HB being seen as mandatory when talking about HP-Washing. I look at it as a QoL buff for bossing as it makes surviving easier. It shouldnt be the buff which you need everytime 100% of the time else you cant even start your boss run.

The personal HP Goal i would like to be able to reach without running around with 300 INT would be 18750HP for non-warriors and 22950 HP for warriors by level 200.
I set those to make HB not irrelevant for non-warriors and let warriors tank a hit of Bodyguard with maxed achilles. Maybe decrease Auf Havens Magic Ball attacks a bit so you can survive 2 hits of it during SED with 18750 too, but thats a diffrent story.
To reach those goals players should be doing all kinds of HP washing alternatives. Dont get me wrong here it should never be done easily, but also not as hard as the current daily Reuls Quest at some point.

Diffrent ideas to close the gap:
- Increase HP on some untradeable gear (e.g. Ludi PQ Glasses to 150 HP?)
- Highlevel Quest/task for MP (I've seen some cool ideas for Bossing, PQing and Tokens of Teamwork on the forums)
- Change Reuls HP Quest threshold to a certain amount of HP gained to make more inclusive with traditional washing
- Increase HP Values for Reuls Quest Buffed in Update 75 from average 15 to 35 HP

Final thought:
The problem about HP washing is not the funding it takes. It’s a way to invest into your character just like upgrading gear or upgrading skills e.g. MW20.

The problem is that our newcomers need that money and knowledge right when they start (int gear + mostly leech as 350 INT NLs are useless for grinding/PQing). This hurts the early game. If they didn’t plan their characters ahead they are hard to fix just by the 2 HP Quest (atleast for high hp goals Toad/Auf Haven/PB?) because they won’t have MP to convert to HP.

I hope these or similar ideas bring back more active low level content as players wouldnt need to run around with 350 Base INT.
The APR Market would still be intact as players would wanna wash out the MP generated they got from the Highlevel Quest/Task at some point.

 

O yes I somehow forgot that idea to buff the hp gains. I’ll add it in!

Edit: O yea I forgot I already changed the average HP gain per quest to 35.

 

Things to note after Update 75
1. You can now get 35 HP per day = 245 HP per week = 1050 HP per months on average from Reuls HP Quest.
2. For warriors the HP threshold is already reached after completing the Quest twice now even at level 120. So changes regarding the threshold eg. changing it to gaining X amount of HP can still be worth to consider.

I added the average amount of Reuls Quests till the threshold is reached under column N of my spreadsheet.

 

This should not be possible. It would make the thresholds useless and would indeed be bug abuse. Afaik the system also accounts the potions in your inventory tho.

1) it’s not the same quest. You can do the 1k hp quest now it doesn’t add to the threshold.

2) yes, but the threshold includes the potential hp you get from leveling up to 175 and the current mp you have above minimum mp for your Level which you could convert to HP with APRs
It’s more like potential HP on 175 than actual HP if you know what I mean.
