I've read around the forums looking for a Meso Guide, and I did find a few. Majority of them emphasized on making a Bishop to leech other players for mesos. I find leveling a cleric ~ bishop to be extremely boring....So is this the only efficient way to make bank or can you farm mesos on your main character just as fast? ( farming for items that are in demand etc )
Anything can make money if you're dedicated enough. Bishop is just the easiest, probably the laziest. You can farm zombie teeth and sell them to people making new characters for like 2m a stack. You can sell AP resets from NX or you can gach. Learn the market and merch, scroll things, etc.
Taking risks/scrolling stuff, gacha luck (I recommend shrine by the way) or both. Bishop is boring af if played for such purposes and will bring you mediocre money at best with grinding like a madman and selling leech for hours and hours. It is like 80% effort and 20% reward, it's just don't worth it unless you like playing it this way. I don't even have a mage (unless you count my noob lvl 15 one) and I managed to get myself some really good int gear along with the needed ap resets, decent att pgc/fs/scg and some other good equips and now I will start working on my end game weapon, slowly but surely. When you know how to play you don't need this whole "open a bish sell leech" routine. The really big money comes from pure luck and taking risks, just like in real life. You will not make 50b or something from selling leech.
Well technically you can make 50b from selling leech but I find leeching to be SO BORING. The only time I ever leech someone is when I'm helping someone level and I do it for free. Then I usually get a conversation partner which makes it bearable. Now the way I've made money is selling ap resets and gaching at NLC and selling the scrolls and items I get from there. Gach is a good way. AP resets are a good way. Good luck and happy mapling!
Technically, you can be a millionaire working a 9-5 job, it will just take you about 40-50 years without spending anything. But is it worth the effort...? And I would not recommend NLC to new players. In fact, I would not recommend it to anyone but someone has to gach there for the sake of balance. The main issue with nlc is - the only things which give you decent money there are perfect stats wand5/ST (which are very rare and hard to get) or ws. The rest is pure garbage. You can come from a 100+ ticket run with empty hands, like it happened to me once. Shrine on other hand even if you don't hit the cs jackpot, you get TONS of very good 30% and 70% scrolls and if you like taking risks and you are lucky with scrolling, you can make billions from a 200+- ticket gach run. In NLC on other hand, you will be scrolling that black paint brush with 10% axe scrolls you got from there.
Yes I agree completely. NLC is NOT a good place to gach at. But I USUALLY do decent there. Shrine is a nice place. I saw a gach thread before where @Sila recommended some good gach locations that aren't shrine or NLC but it flew out of my head. Oh well.
There is a much better alternative to leeching/farming which is merchanting and scrolling. It is both more fun and more profitable/efficient. Sadly though being a merchant is hurting my spleen right now since fm shops have been disabled for like 5 months. But once fm shops come back you should look into merching and scrolling. Prices dont fluctuate that much in this server which makes memorizing item values quite easy and if you can memorize item prices it is a simple task to make money. And in case your wondering: No this doesnt mean you have to try to super lowball people, it doesnt require that at all and you shouldn't be doing this anyways. Also in regards to scrolling: while many people believe all scrolling is risky when it comes to making mesos, let me assure you that once you figure out how to scroll the correct way there is a 99% chance of significant profit in the long run.
