hi i wanted to ask how good is the anti cheat here because i play in this server about 2 weeks and i already saw like 3 hackers and i really hate it so i wanted to know is it rare for hacker to be is this server or no????
It's not rare to see a hacker in the game, but also currently quite rare for action not to be taken against them. Although we have most of the important hacks blocked such as item/meso dupes and exploits that may allow a hacker to gain access to your character, there are some types of hacks such as damage hacking and fast attacking that are hard to block entirely due to the complexity of having an accurate banning system. We have always had anti-cheat measures in place for these types of hacks, but as it is not 100% accurate, most cases of cheating have been alerting GM's to the fact of a possible hacker. Therefore there have been times where hackers are not banned straight away depending on how long it takes a GM to respond to the alert - and if they are not banned almost immediately, they do get banned eventually. Over the past couple of months we have been advancing our anti-cheat measures and have already blocked players from being able to deal more damage than they should be doing. We are currently in the process of finalising the accuracy of our system for detecting fast attack and high damage attempts, and are almost at the point where we can implement automatic banning for these cheats with 100% reliability.
thats really bad if hacks like this you dont get instent ban for they can get alot of items and scrolls fast and it ruins the prices in the free market
They're working on it dude. People are pretty honest here. Worry about yourself and know that the GM's are active and the developers are working on better banning methods.
thats good to hear i really like this server and it reminds me of my childhood thx to all of the developers and GM for this server
i don't think the market can be screwed up by a few hackers though, considering how long it will take them to get to the level where mobs actually drop decent stuff no need to worry bout it
