I'm tryina remember an old Maple animation that's essentially Pokémon, the in-game pets were basically robots sold in stores & you put a Pokémon soul into them which animates them to life, and some crazy OP soul ends up in the body of a penguin & becomes the main character's mon. I remember seeing it a few years ago & it had 3 or so episodes at the time
