IGN: KnightOfNi Problem: He can't use an AP Reset to pull from MP and place into STR. It doesn't do anything after he presses "OK". Details: He isn't me! I just figured I'd like to post this bug, and maybe get his chracter fixed in one thread <3 K. So I was using this guy, KnightOfNi, as a test subject. Little did I know I'd be robbing him of a STR point I wanted to test Minimum MP Formulas. Since the formulas for Fighters and Spearmen are supposedly different, I was curious how the formula would work on a Warrior before 2nd job. So, I gave him some AP Resets, and he tried to reset out of MP. Here, we have the 2 formulas: Minimum MaxMP Formula for Spearman = (4 x level) + 156 Minimum MaxMP Formula for Fighter = (4 x level) + 56 KnightOfNi had 1599HP and 203MP at level 30, before his job advancement. So if we calculate these two formulas for a lvl 30, these are the results: Minimum MP Spearman lvl 30: 276MP Minimum MP Fighter lvl 30: 176MP So... a spearman at lvl 30 cannot pull out of MP, with an AP Reset, if their MP is below 276. And a fighter at lvl 30 cannot pull out of MP, with an AP Reset, if their MP is below 176. So I figure, if he can pull out of MP, then 1st job warriors must use the Fighter Minimum MP Formula. Let's test it. Now you cannot pull out of HP or MP until you've put a point into HP or MP. So this lvl 30 Warrior with 1599HP and 203MP uses an AP Reset to pull from STR, and put into HP. Now this lvl 30 Warrior has 1651HP and 203MP, and he's down a STR. Now he tries to pull out of MP. MP is not grayed out. He is able to press the down arrow. He places the MP point in HP. Presses OK. Nothing happens. The AP Reset even stays in his inventory. He tries again. He CC's. He relogs. Nothing happens. Nothing happens. Nothing happens! None of his AP Resets got used. You can see this happening in the video in this thread: https://royals.ms/forum/threads/ap-reset-not-working.52762/ OH NO! GLITCHES! So I tell him to add another STR into HP to see if that helps it out. The AP Reset works. He's now a lvl 30 warrior with 1703 HP and 203 MP, and he's down 2 STR. Does it help smooth things out? IT DOESNT! He keep trying to move MP into HP, and MP into STR. He cannot get the AP Reset to work when he's trying to pull out of MP. So I figure 1st job is just glitched. No huge surprise there. Perhaps the code is confused as to which Min MP Formula to use. So he goes and gets his advance to Fighter. He's now a lvl 30 Fighter with 2033 HP and 203 MP, and he's down 2 STR. He tries to pull out of MP with an AP Reset again. And it still doesn't work! He keeps pressing OK to confirm his AP Reset choices, and nothing happens! So I figure he ought to try resetting from HP->MP and see if that helps. So he uses an AP Reset to pull from HP and place it into MP. He's now a lvl 30 Fighter with 1979 HP and 206MP, and he's still down 2 STR. AND IT STILL DOESN'T HELP! THE AP RESET STILL GLITCHES WHEN HE TRIES TO PULL FROM MP! So at this point I give up and figure I should just create a warrior, myself, and test it. So I tell him to put his HP back into his STR. He moves one HP into STR. He's now a lvl 30 Fighter with 1925 HP and 206MP, and he's down 1 STR. I fuck up and tell him to put STR->HP, instead of the other way around -.- I suck. He's now a lvl 30 Fighter with 1980HP and 206MP, and he's down 2 STR. I realize my mistake and tell him to move HP into STR again. He's now a lvl 30 Fighter with 1926HP and 206MP, and he's down 1 STR. NOW GET READY FOR IT TO GET REALLY CRAZY! I tell him to put one last HP into STR, so he can have all his STR back, and IT DOES NOT WORK! He gets the same glitches trying to pull from HP as he was when he was pulling from MP... After pressing OK, nothing happens! So now he's got one of his STRs sitting in MP, and there's nothing he can do about it! I have no idea what is causing this >.< The guy in this thread was apparently able to get it to work by putting a point into HP. This method was not working for KnightOfNi. I would at least hope that you guys might be able to pull a point from MP and put it into HP for him, so I didn't waste one of his STRs. I feel really bad about this whole thing >.< His name is KnightOfNi
Yeah. That's my thoughts. Perhaps the code doesn't kick in until you've leveled up AS a Fighter. Perhaps the job advancement doesn't push job information to AP Reset code. Perhaps it checks at every level-up. But even if that doesn't work. It seems this guy was able to get it to work by putting a LevelUpAP into HP:
