    Hey,

I've been banned as well. I think I know why. I've been testing things with my friend since today and I forgot to close it. As regards to what I was testing, they were very basic and simple packet editors and scanners. I'm pretty sure I must have opened Royals together with what I was testing.

But, I don't think I've done anything to Royals though. I'm pretty sure I haven't, unless I made a mistake.

And don't blame me for testing them though. It's my line of work. I am the owner and manager of various coders, so I test each and every one of the softwares they code, to ensure they are stable.

I was able to donate as a result of the software sales such as a basic packer and stuff like that. Eh

What I typed above may perhaps sound lies to you but I'm telling the truth. I wouldn't want the account I've played for a whole month banned. I really enjoy my time in this server.

Who else would take the blame? It's still entirely your fault.

The system automatically banned you for attempting to drop too few, or too many mesos. This is not a significant breach as it is entirely impossible to drop less than 10, or more than 50,000 mesos in the first place. But I will have to bring this appeal to the attention of the rest of the admins to make a decision on your ban appeal.

    Stay tuned.

Thank you very much, and well, I could donate as a result of my work. I've been in this line of work for two to three years, and I've had a long day today so I forgot to close Royals when testing the softwares. Well yeah, it's my fault but some leeway please, lol. My work, so I can't help it.

Still, thanks for bringing it up to the other admins for consideration.

So you are telling me you had a packet editor open, attached it to the MapleRoyals process and then sent a packet to try and drop more mesos that the client allows? And this was just 'testing'...? o_O

Yes. I've had multiple Maples of other servers open, and I wanted to close Royals before beginning to test. I received a request with a PM attaching a packet which I had no idea what it does. The request stated for me to test it on multiple servers, and some payment included. So I decided to accept, as I was running low on server funds.

And the stupid thing is my IGN, username and password are the same for all the servers I do my testings on.

And Matt, I'm PMing you some private information but it may help me out in my appeal.

Okay, it doesn't matter one bit if testing packet editors is part of your job, the ban is entirely your fault for forgetting to close MapleRoyals. I find it incredibly sketchy how you could send a v0.62 packet to the MapleRoyals client by accident. I would have assumed you would have your own local server to do certain testings on.

I've read your PM and I know that because it was on the PayPal transaction, but that still doesn't change anything.

I've had a long day, so you can't expect me to know what's going on exactly when I'm tired, right? I understand you would find it hard to believe, but yes. It's an accident. If you don't believe me, I've nothing more to say.

And I send the same packet to every other versions just to check, as per requested by my users, which I've no idea why as well.

But yeah, please do consider that everyone does stuff by accident, or do wrong things at times.

I can't for the life of me understand why you would try to attempt to hack on Royals. Accidental or purposefully done, the question is still the same. Why?

If you really enjoy this server and the game, why would you try to exploit it?

It wasn't intentional. I really do enjoy this server, and I don't see why I would get my account banned after donating? It doesn't make sense. Okay, I'm off to sleep. Will reply in a few hours.

I know you do, but you still haven't answered my question: WHY?

And PS: Being a donator gives you NO special treatment.

I said it wasn't intentional and I know it doesn't give me special treatment. I'm just saying it doesn't make sense that after I donate, I go and hack it.

Edit: that's just like dumping money in the drain, right?

We have not unbanned any other players for packet editing, so why should we unban you? Just because you have donated does not mean that you should be unbanned I'm afraid.

Well, it's because it wasn't intentional. And yes, I know that donation doesn't give me VIP/special treatments, but I'm just reasoning that it doesn't make sense that I would hack on a server which I donated on.

Also, I'll be more careful with my work next time. I really love spending time with friends I met on the server, such as uCow, Deltira, MrsStyles, xMystify, Giceratops, TooT and other friends. Please give me a chance, I won't make the same stupid mistake again. I know I sound fishy, and you guys have your rules to abide by.. Well, if my DK doesn't get unbanned, could I restart? I love hanging out in the FM and I don't want to experience the same sad feeling again I had during my moving homes and losing my friends from school.

Accident or not... Donator or not... You used packet editing software in an attempt to manipulate the game. So you will suffer the same consequence as everyone else who has ever done the same as you.

Matt, this doesn't make sense. So you don't care whether if it's an accident? How would you feel if you accidently commited a crime and got a life sentence for it?

It's absurd, seriously. You don't care about what players say in their appeal at all. For some, yes. But why do you go and decide based on the rules? Can't you reduce it to a 7 day ban, or something? The rules are too strict, honestly.

Please give me a chance, it won't happen again, thank you.

Just injecting the packet editor is a banable, let alone sending a packet.

Can I request for a 7 day ban to repent my actions, please. I was looking around for some nice rate nostalgic server and this caught my eye and I fell in love with it after I started.

I really don't want to leave my friends I made here, especially Caboose, the blue haired guy in my avatar. I don't mean any homo, pedo or exploit intentions, I just want to stay in the server and have fun. So at least, reduce it to a 7 day ban please.

I know I'm not in a position to ask for anything, but yeah, as I said earlier, this is a very nice server in my opinion.

Let me reiterate what you did. You injected a packet editor (which has no legitimate use for a legitimate player of MapleRoyals) into the program (violation of one term of the T&C right there), and then attempted to "test" an exploit on our server.

Instead of requesting permission from the staff to test an exploit (which we likely would have denied but would have asked you for details so we could look into it ourselves), you took it upon yourself to do so, in exchange for money from a member on a website that revolves around cheating and hacking servers such as ours.

What you did is just as bad as any other hacker. There is absolutely no reason for us to give you any "slack."
