Character Name: SmexiChick4U / SmexiBish4U Last thing you did: Farming Gold Teeth Why do you think you got banned?: So my friend was leeching a couple of our characters to 50, and in the meantime I was farming gold teeth in the dead mine on my Dragon Knight so that we could do our Zakum pre-quests once we were level 50. I ended up running across a character named Nathz1 in ch9 dead mine 1, who was vacuum hacking the monsters to him. I definitely see how it would be frowned on to kill the mobs, which I ended up killing some of them, however I was not the botter, and I did not sit with him the entire night and farm his mobs. I continued CC'ing thru the channels and farming normally, until every once in awhile I would end up back in the same CC with him and I would kill some more mobs before leaving, however now both of my accounts are blocked. I do recognize what I did, is frowned upon, and it would never happen again, this is my first time running into a ban issue or anything of the sort in this game, and would appreciate being able to continue playing if possible. So in total over a 4 -5 hour period, I believed I farmed 83 teeth, I'd say that 65-70 of them were from different channel's while farming normally, some were from killing some of the mobs in his map (so I'd say 3-5) and the rest were from monster's he killed and the item's were sitting on the ground. (I had the balanced item or whatever it's called on my Metus, so it picked up items past the expiration period, and I have no idea why his character was no longer picking up items). Edit: typo's
Oh but initially I was farming for 60 gold teeth, 30 for me, and 30 for my friend, but then my friend who was leeching my other character (smexibish4u) was not finished leeching me to level 50, while his fire poison character had already reached level 50, so he kicked out his fire/poison to leech me quicker and I stayed on discord with him while he leeched me and I kept farming more gold teeth to sell for some money, I knew they were like 2-3m a piece, so it was some decent money since I wasn't a bishop yet. (As my friend was leeching my cleric to help me get to bishop so then I could sell leech and make some money). I've never had good gear, if you look at my account, nothing is extravagant. I've been on here a decent bit I'd say, not super long, and if I was a hacker I think I would have much more than I have. As for what I DO have, I farmed a lot of red envelopes on my Dragon Night (SmexiChick4U), all at Mysterious Path 3, I trained there from like level 50 until around like 102 or something, it was like my main spot to farm and I enjoyed that map. I've played Maplestory for a VERY long time. I am 20 year's old right now and I started Maplestory when I was really young. My IGN on Maplestory (Global Maplestory) is Travis (nothing funky, all just normal) and I'm an Evan with some decent NX on. I've always loved cosmetics (hence why I have donated for NX on here). And you can even search for my character on the old rankings (removed), he has NX on and white contacts lenses, with dog eyes, and a seal pillow I think?) but yeah, I've played maple for along time and would be happy to provide pictures of GMS with my ign if that would somehow help. I can type whatever you would like in a photo. But I have always been a rule abiding player and never had issues with games. Hopefully this helps explain things. I also wasn't solely killing the mobs he was pulling, as he was not grabbing all the monsters in the map. I was going thru multiple CC's climbing thru maps killing monsters with Dragon Roar as it has a long range, and I was immobile due to being a Dragon Knight and there is a lot of platforms. So dragon roar would just hit anything that was in range, and then my pet would pick up the items as I ran by them. Edit: removed a parenthesis
And in case the question would be asked I was CC'ing to speed up going back to the top of the maps, because if you go to the passage map and then CC it would take you right outside the mine so I could then reset and go thru all the maps again, since it would be way slower if I climbed back up thru the maps. Do you know it is illegal to gain benefits from hackers, whether or not they're in your party? In your case, you benefited by killing vacced mobs, and thus earning illegitimate gold teeth.
I knew hacking itself was illegal, which I did not hack. My goal was not to aim to benefit off of him and was never partied with him or even knew him before, but he was in the corner of the map alone hiding, and my pet picked up his items. As I said, over a 4-5 hour period, I got 3-5 teeth from monsters in his map, (which I killed the monsters, and not all of them were vacc'd to him, however some of them were still hit by Dragon Roar) so about 1 tooth an hour, and the rest were simply from them being on the ground, which my pet picks up automatically. I was not trying to benefit off of any hacks, as I was farming for hours legitimately which I would hope you can see in your logs. There was nothing malicious behind my intents and I was not looking to make gains off of anything other than hard work (if you can call it that in a game). I was putting in my time, working to get gold teeth so I wouldn't have to go buy them, and I happened to come across him, I didn't sit with him solely killing the mobs he would pull, he pulled some, but there were plenty more around the map that were killed. I didn't stay in his CC, I kept moving through the maps, and changing channels, I was watching streams on my TV (right to the left of my computer) and was zoning out while farming. (not as in robotic play, as I had to navigate thru the maps constantly). I understand multiple people plead for leniency in a case (as I've been roaming thru a lot of the appeal forums), but in something such as this I would hope I could at least avoid a permanent ban as I was not trying to hinder the game or cheat other people, even though the majority of the teeth were 100% legitimately claimed. Is it possible to even consider to just remove all of them from my inventory that I farmed, thus removing the time and effort I initially put into farming? I have never hacked in the game, never abused a glitch, never said something rude, harassed anyone, scammed, or mislead anyone. I have 14 years of Maplestory under my belt and know how serious hacking is taken, I have tried to be a role model player, and a hiccup such as this would be disappointing if it resulted in me never being able to play the game again, as you won't see me trying to ban evade, make new account, etc. I would like to be an asset to this game and be apart of the community, as I have a lot of knowledge I can give, and a lot I want to still learn, as each server is unique. I seriously never tried to abuse any hacks or upset anyone. I apologize for what happened, but I hope I'm not looked at the same way a real hacker is, as I know you have a 0 tolerance policy, which I respect and understand.
I posted in my initial response that I farmed 30 for my friend, and 30 for myself, and then my friend Jummy was leeching my cleric (SmexiBish4U) and his Fire Poison (GinnyRum) to level 50 so we could do the zakum quest, and his Fire Poison (GinnyRum) hit 50 before my cleric (SmexiBish4U) hit 50, so I stayed on discord with him while he was continuing to leech my character to 50 and farmed for extra teeth so I could sell some for extra cash, as I knew they were around 2-3m a piece and I didn't have many other means to make money in the game as I'm more new than old on this server. I guarentee you can find in your logs or whatever you can see, that soon after SmexiBish4U hit level 50 I logged off of both of my clients I had open at the time and sold the remaining 23 teeth. I gave the other 30 over to my friend Jummy for his fire poison to be able to do the zakum pre quests as well. (so I had 53 in my inventory at the end of the day and I put 23 in my shop before going to bed for like 3.2m ea? leaving 30 left for me to be able to complete my own quest)
I will have an admin check out your claim. You might want to note that we will confiscate the mesos gained from selling those illegitimate gold teeth.
Also a random side note because it's the only part I'm not positive about, but I may have traded the 30 teeth to his Fire Poison GinnyRum (I mean it would make more sense than giving it to his bishop). In case you make sure I did trade over the 30 to him.
