Asian / Oceanic server or channels

    Since we have a large amount of players from taiwan, singapore and other parts of Asia / oceanic region, would it be possible to convert some of the channels to oceanic channels or would this have to require a new server? Don't know if the source is still where the channels are all the same but on the same server or if it would be possible to split them up.

    This would cause a division in the MapleRoyals community. I'm from Singapore myself, and i think this is a really bad idea man.

    No my meaning is have some of the channels server based in oceanic regions so it's less lag for the oceanic players.

    The way that our current source is designed does not allow for different servers per channel, and so would require an immense amount of work. The new source is being designed in a way which allows for future infrastructure improvements like suggested if necessary. However the new source also brings massive improvements to packet handling and should improve global latency regardless of server location.

    Sounds promising. The new source seems to be looking really good! Reminds me of the odin days.
