I just wanted to mention the following things and see if they can be fixed: 1) This has been a known issue for a while, but can we finally fix Royal Guard not giving any EXP when it gets hit by the chandelier? 2) Ring scrolls (STR,DEX,INT,LUK 60%) don't get a notice for when they are picked up, while the much cheaper Auf Circlet 60% scrolls do. 3) Fix Core Blaze hitbox so it only hits you where the model actually starts. 4) Raging Maverick B - I feel like it's time to talk about this mob: It can: - Stun - Slow - Cast darkness - Launch characters towards Core And these are all spammable. Another issue is that their ranged attack always pushes to the right, instead of pushing you to the direction it's facing. All that while being a buggy tanky flying mob that is hard to push and cannot be frozen. I understand that this mob is what adds difficulty to the Core Blaze stage, but I believe we can adjust it a little bit while still maintaining the danger of getting pushed into Core. I only suggest the following 2 changes: - Make the debuffs less spammable, or remove darkness entirely - Make it push characters in the direction it's facing Feel free to discuss, but please keep it clean and do not derail the thread to other things.
Hey danel, let me go 1 by 1 on these aswell. 1) That‘s definitely a weird one and I‘m personally with you that something should be done here. I find the damage the chandelier does isn’t worth the exp loss. Would you.. a) suggest the damage to be increased (by how much?) while keeping the exp loss for it to be a more worthy trade-off or b) want us to explore ways to not cut of the exp gain (seems to involve more dev work so it might be a problem - atleast for now)? 2) That should be a bug as they are intended to trigger the notification. Since they are already part of the list from Update 74 Auf Haven: Chaos Scroll, Miracle Scroll for Auf Haven Circlet 10%, Scroll for Auf Haven Circlet for STR/DEX/INT/LUK 60%, Scroll for Rings for STR/DEX/INT/LUK 60%, Auf Haven Circlet, Auf Haven Chair, Element Pierce, Dragon Khanjar, [Mastery Book] Assassinate 30, 5000 NX Cash Card. They might’ve been overlooked. While we’re at it i think the last two 60% scrolls being Shield Atk and Magic Atk could be added aswell. The second being quite a good drop and adding the other for consistency. I brought that up in the Loot Notification System thread itself too. 3) I did test that one with @nutleafcity just now. As he told you, its indeed not in line with its visuals. I will forward it to our devs. 4) As for the Raging Maverick B, yes they are annoying, but they should be. I think darkness is countered by the Royals Guard Boss Card and having a bishop, mule or not, is quite common to hsh & dispel def up + character debuffs. Stunning or dooming the Mavericks is definitely a strategy, but freezing them seems to ez. We checked the different attacks of the Mavericks and all of them pushed us in the direction the mob faced. The only exeption was that touch damage can knock you in the opposite direction. As its a flying mob and their hitboxes are a bit clucky sometimes you might've tought it was a ranged attack that pushed you that way. It should've been the touch though. I can’t promise that anything about it’s hitbox can be done but we will see. Thanks for the input!
Thank you for the swift response and for taking the time to test things in-game, I really appreciate you and @nutleafcity Very valid points, I agree with you on pretty much everything. I choose B because I think this option makes a lot more sense.
I think all the points have been addressed, and adding those drops in are on our todolist. Core Blaze map was tweaked, which should hopefully make it a better experience. See Update 77 Moved to accepted.
Now that chandelier damage has been increased as per https://royals.ms/forum/threads/update-83-3-18-1-23.213193/#post-1270207, has the exp issue been fixed?
No the exp still vanishes if one uses the chandelier. We increased the damage dealt by the chandelier from 25 to 50m to make that trade-off more worth it. Changing the exp calculation would be more complex than expected.
