i don't see a real purpose for these to be displayed at all, they are neither nostalgic nor necessary. if GM's need to see them for whatever reason it could be shown to gm's only, or if in a boss run and party members are for some reason obligated to know why a person dc'd then it could be broadcasted to the room, but i don't see any reason it should be shown to the entire server. some people may say it "warns" or "scares off" potential cheaters, but i think it has an opposite effect: the cheaters that would be cheating anyway are given information as to what the system autoban/dc's for, and are then able to work around it instead of falling for it. valve's VAC system bans in waves for the specific purpose of not giving information to cheaters as to what is detected and what isn't. am i missing something as to why these are shown?
The autoban system is a mess. It works pretty well but yes, the notices are pretty stupid. Not something we will work on though as it's a pretty messy system to deal with in the current source.
