Hi, Back in 2021 I started playing MR and decided on a NightLord to HP&MP wash. I first leveled up a Bishop to help with the leveling and mesos. However, after a couple of months I stopped playing. Now 2023 I decided I want to keep going with this. But since it's been almost 2 years, I forgot what I was doing and how to do it. Down below is a picture of my current Hermit and the calculator I used before. My question is this: "Where in the process am I currently?". My guess would be this: All I need to do right now, is to keep leveling until I reach 135 and then I can start with the MP/HP washing? If my guess is correct, is there something else I need to think about? Something that might have changed in the last 2 years? Edit: I also wonder about my current AP. Being Lv. 119 I should have gotten 5x118=590 +5 + 5+ 5(5 per job adv.) For a total of 605 AP points available. But I currently have 422 AP points (+21 in dex and 161 in int) for a total of 604 AP. Have I perhaps spent 1 point of AP already somewhere? Edit: When washing. Do you have to do it point by point (1AP into HP/MP and then APR), or can I just put 320 APs into HP and 175 APs into MP at once, and then do the APRs? Thanks!
Hi, welcome back Since you have not spent any of your fresh AP you are still at lvl 36 in your process. You should pump 175 AP to MP, the rest to HP(until you are out of MP) and then LUK. You don't have to do this until level 135 if you want to wait. Yes, but you can also do the washing as you level up, doesn't matter. Just be sure to not pump too much AP to HP, because you might not have enough MP to reset it. In terms of HP-washing nothing has changed. Daily HP-quests were added around 2-3 years ago you should check it out. The one-time 500HP-quest you should also do. You probably have a point in either HP or MP. You can check this with an APR, just open the APR and see if you are able to take a point out of HP or MP, you don't have to use the APR for this. You can do it all at once, the thing you should be cautious about is not having enough MP to reset to LUK. So take all 175 to MP at once if you wish, you can probably put 320 AP to HP too, but I would reccomend doing this in increments just to make sure you are able to reset it from your excess MP-pool. Hope this clarified, happy mapling
Thank you for answering! I think I know what to do from here now! Regarding this tho: "You probably have a point in either HP or MP. You can check this with an APR, just open the APR and see if you are able to take a point out of HP or MP, you don't have to use the APR for this." I checked with one APR and it doesn't allow me to take anything from MP/HP. Could it be something else i'm missing? Maybe my calculation is wrong?
Yeah, your calculations are wrong, I didnt think about it on my last reply. You start the game with 9 AP, and dont get any for 2nd job advacement, 5*118 = 590 -> +5 (3rd job)+9(starting AP) = 604. You have not done 4th job advancement yet, so you can't calculate them in either.
Oh I see. Thanks again Sorry for showering you with questions, but I got one last. You said I should be careful not to put too much AP into HP, because I might not have enough MP to wash. Shouldn't the calculator prevent this? And if not. Is there a way to know the limit so I would know where to draw the line. Since I don't want to put 1 AP into HP in the end, just to see I can't extract it from MP and be stuck with 1 less LUK.
First of all, you will not be stuck with 1 less LUK, you can simply just APR it from HP instead, or just wait until you level up and take it out of the MP you gained. I am not sure if the calculator completely prevents this, I don't know how it works, I do not use it myself either. It probably depends on the HP goal you put in, and at what level you want to reach it + many other minor factors. As you see, the calculator says from level 36-99 and 136-200 you put HP or LUK, so it assumes you put into HP, but LUK depending on your available MP, so it has probably not taken care of it 100%. HP washing works by taking out MP and putting it to HP, but you can only take out from your MP gained from INT, usually referred to as EXTRA MP. For every 12 MP you can gain 16-24 HP (depends on fresh AP vs APR AP). But let's just say you gain 20HP every 12MP. So how to figure out how much you can reset (know the limit as you coined it): Calculate your minimum MP as a thief, this MP you CANNOT reset, use the following formula: 14*lvl +148. Check your MP without any equips in your case about 5000, probably a bit less but I can't see your equips. Subtract the minimum MP and you get EXTRA MP. 5000-1814= ca 3200. You have 3200 EXTRA MP. This equates to 3200/12 = 266 washes. Which means the limit right now is 266 points to HP which you can reset from MP. BUT since you are going to put 175 AP into MP you will have significantly more MP and probably be able to put all your remaining AP into HP without trouble, you don't have to worry. This was a long message just to conclude that you don't have to worry, but I still think it is a good concept to be aware of, because depending on your HP goal, this could've become a real concern. Phew.
