Hello Royals staff,

I’m writing today to submit a final, updated appeal regarding my original account, “Feet,” which was banned around 2019. I previously posted about this years ago and would like to take a moment to provide new information, clarify old confusion, and share some life updates that help explain why I went silent after my original attempt.

Clarification on “Philpheet” — That is Not Me
To reiterate and clarify something that seems to have caused confusion in my previous appeal:

• I am not “Philpheet.”
  
  
• I have never lived in France, nor do I know anyone from there.
  
  
• I’ve lived in Censored
  
  
• The appeal made by “Philpheet” using my character name was not written by me — I only discovered it after my account was banned and I began searching the forums using my in-game name “Feet.”

I understand this caused some doubt about my identity. I want to be extremely clear: whoever posted that appeal is not me. They somehow had my in-game name and details, likely due to the account being compromised after a major password leak. That impersonation has made this process a lot harder for me to resolve.

Email Compromise & Security Details
Around the time of the ban, my email was compromised in multiple data breaches. I used to participate in a now-defunct private server called OSM, which I believe is where my personal information — including my email, Censored — was likely leaked. After that event, I noticed suspicious activity on both my OSM and MapleRoyals accounts. My MapleRoyals password was changed, and I was unable to access the game.

I have retired that old email permanently, as it’s no longer secure. Since then, I’ve created a completely new email and security setup, and have not had any breaches or issues since.

To be transparent:

• I have never sold my account.
  
  
• I have never engaged in RWT or account buying.
  
  
• I would never risk giving someone access to my account, especially one tied to my real name and location.
  
  
• I’ve never used a VPN or attempted to hide my activity — I genuinely wanted to recover my account through proper channels.

Why I Disappeared from My Last Appeal
I owe the staff an apology for not continuing my previous appeal thread. At the time, life was moving fast, and I simply couldn't juggle everything.

Here’s what happened:

• I had recently Censored.
  
  
• I moved to Censored with my fiancée to start a new job and a new life.
  
  
• We were barely making rent starting out, and my grandfather became seriously ill, requiring full-time care from my mother.
  
  
• We adopted a dog and a cat, and I was starting a new job while helping my family through a rough time.

With all of this going on, MapleRoyals just fell to the side. But I never forgot about my account, or how much time and effort I put into building my character and enjoying the server. It’s why I’m writing now — with stability, time, and clarity to finally address everything properly.

Life Now — and Why I’m Appealing Again
Fast forward to today:

• I’m now married and living happily with my wife.

• Sadly, my grandfather passed away, and that chapter of stress and care taking has come to an end.
  
  
• Life has slowed down, and I’ve been reflecting on hobbies I used to love — Maple Royals being one of them.

At this point, my appeal isn’t about getting items or restarting with an advantage. I’m appealing because:

1. I want to revisit old memories — That character and account meant a lot to me.
   
   
2. I spent years building my character “Feet” — grinding, farming, and enjoying the game.
   
   
3. I want to return to the community properly, without fear of being banned for evasion if I start over.

If the account is beyond recovery, I understand. But I would deeply appreciate at least some form of confirmation that I am safe to create a new account and move forward — without being flagged due to past confusion or identity issues caused by the “Philpheet” impersonation.

Closing Thoughts
This server was an escape during some really hard times for me — school, financial struggle, family health — and losing access to it unfairly has always left a bad taste in my mouth. I never tried to cheat the system. I just want to return, reconnect with old memories, and maybe play casually again now that I have the time and stability to do so.

First, I want to sincerely thank you for taking the time to censor any personal information in the past posts — that kind of care and consideration really means a lot. I truly appreciate the effort the team has put into handling these matters, and I’m just trying to sort this whole situation out properly and respectfully.

To clarify: the following post — https://royals.ms/forum/threads/im-receiving-a-message-when-i-try-to-log-into-the-game.139423/ — was not made by me.

I’ve submitted two appeals myself, both under the forum name “cutetoes.” One of the appeals seemed to get confused with another player named “Philpheet,” which is not me. My name wasn’t even spelled correctly in the appeal, and I’ve never gone by that name. I also don’t know that person, and he’s certainly not my childhood friend from Texas as he claimed in his attempt to unban “my” account. That was incredibly strange to see and caused more confusion than help.

Just to be fully transparent — yes, the “cutetoes” username is mine, and yes, I went through a weird phase Cringe now, but I own it.

Back in 2018, I was playing actively and really enjoying the game. I ended up stepping away around January or February 2019, mainly due to my grandfather becoming severely ill. It was a tough time for my family, and I needed to focus on being there for them. That break from Royals also included a break from OSMS and Legends. I did make a post during a short break in 2019 when I had some time to return — my mom had taken over most of the caretaking duties for my grandfather, so I had planned to hop back on and pick up where I left off.

In 2022, I had moved to a new place and, during that time, I started getting back into MapleStory again. I had a wave of nostalgia and was genuinely excited to return to Royals and reconnect with the community. Unfortunately, that return didn’t last long. Life got busy pretty quickly again — between adjusting to the move and trying to get everything in order with work and personal responsibilities, I wasn’t able to stick with it the way I had hoped.

That said, the interest and love for the game never really left. Every now and then, I still find myself thinking about the memories and time I spent on my account, which is why I’m still hoping to get some clarity and resolution on the situation.

Unfortunately, when I tried to log in again sometime after that break, I discovered I could no longer access my account. The password had been changed, and I couldn’t recover it. To my knowledge, I only had one account or two accounts and never shared it. It’s been years, so I don’t remember every detail, but I clearly remember characters like cutetoes and Philthesin being on that account — possibly a few others I just can’t recall off the top of my head.

I’m happy to supply any move timelines or proof if it helps verify anything — from my time living at my mom’s place before 2022, to moving into my apartment, then to my in-laws’ house, and finally to where we are now. I know how important accuracy and accountability are for appeals like this, and I want to be as transparent as possible.
If needed, I can provide supporting information regarding my grandfather’s passing, including funeral dates, which should align closely with the timeline of my absence and return post in 2019.

I wanted to provide a follow-up and clarify some things, because after spending more time trying to piece together my account history, I’ve realized I may not have been remembering everything from 2019 as accurately as I initially thought — and honestly, it’s a little embarrassing to admit.

At first, I believed I was completely locked out of all my old accounts, especially the one that had my main character. That was the whole reason I began this appeal process again. However, after checking further, it turns out I am able to log into a few of my older accounts. Unfortunately, none of those accounts contain the main character I was hoping to recover, which now makes me realize that I’ve likely forgotten the login ID for what was probably my original or primary account.

It’s frustrating, because I spent a lot of time and effort on that character, and it clearly meant a lot to me—enough that years later I’m still trying to track it down. I know memory fades over time, especially with long breaks from the game, but I genuinely thought I remembered the details better than I apparently do.

That being said, we have also discovered that three other accounts I do remember clearly and can still log into are currently banned. I wasn’t expecting that, and now I’m unsure if those bans are somehow related to the original account I lost access to, or if something else happened. I never received any clear explanation for them, which makes this all the more confusing.

I understand that account recovery and bans are sensitive matters, and I don’t expect miracles. I just want to be as transparent as possible and do what I can to help the staff understand my situation. I am more than willing to cooperate.

At the end of the day, I’m just someone who put a lot of time into this game years ago, and now that I’ve come back, I’d really like the chance to recover what I can and hopefully resolve any confusion around these bans. I completely understand if you need time to investigate things or need more information from me—I’m happy to help however I can.
