I understand that this was glitch abuse and it is a rule that we've broke, but I don't know why I've got ban for 7 days instead of 3. Shouldn't I get 3 days because this is the first time I did this, I know my friend did this for his second time but not me. Thank you.
Because this was his second offense, you have to receive the same punishment as him. Partying with someone who is breaking any form of rule to gain a competitive advantage makes you guilty by association.
